Yep, your 6pm short call ends at 4am, which gives you 12hrs rest until your next short call begins at 4pm.

I'm hearing no interviews for at least 3-6 months. Over a hundred in the pool waiting for classes. As always, subject to change in a nano-second.

This may be a little presumptuous with everything slowed down, but is there anything I could start looking over before training? I'd like to get a head start. As a military guy, I'm going to have a lot to learn. What can I get a jump on now before the fire hose starts? JB Operating procedures, FAR's, etc

I would star with the 121 regs. You can download them or get a flight crew far/aim.

I second what was said above about studying 121 regs. Don't worry about JB procedures. They will teach you those. However, I thought that they didn't spend much time at all on 121 stuff. I was glad not to have to sit through all that again, but I remember thinking that if it is your first 121 job, the curriculum is definitely lacking in that area.

The latest rumors are 120 for the year, and believe me we are all looking forward to getting you guys started!

Aeronautical Information Manual

Above is the link to the most recent AIM. Also go to FAA.gov and then use the link to the e-CFR for part 121. If you're like me and prefer paper to flashing plasma particles, go to amazon and pick up a FAR/AIM for flight crews. References to everything you need to know are provided in our (JB's) FOM, but I concur with other posters that if you don't have a 121 background the salient points are skimmed over pretty quickly during indoc.
