Wow, really sorry to hear this news! Talk about an emotional roller coaster. Hang in there, keep trying and try to stay positive....I know this is much easier said than done.

I wonder if the "competitive qualifications" denial letter you received is standard for everyone they choose not to continue with the hiring process (regardless of actual reasons), or if they really are weeding out the bottom of applicants who don't have numbers as high as everyone else?

Anyone have thoughts/info on this?

EMBFlyer - do you mind sharing what your numbers are? Turbine PIC? Sorry again man!

I have 5900 TT, 2600 TPIC, EMB-145 Type, No failed check rides, no skeletons in my closet.

I do a have a 737 Type. One of my left-field theories is that they saw the 737 Type, saw I lived in a major metropolitan area of Texas served by 2 major airlines and that one of those airlines is hiring. Maybe they thought I was risky that I'd jump ship. All-in-all, I have absolutely no idea what they're looking for, but apparently I'm not it.

I apparently interviewed well enough to make it into Phase 2, but no idea I wouldn't come out. Maybe it's for the best. Everything happens for a reason.

Do they call or e-mail you to set up the initial interview? (I assume they call)

Haven't heard a peep yet, but hopefully in 2012

11/16 offer for me too (am interview on 9/14). My offer is still contingent on my phase 2 results. Is that the norm?

Dwane- Yeah, that's the norm.

Emb- Sorry to hear about the bad news. Hopefully you'll get some LUV from that Texas airline sometime soon!

They called me. Offered an interview date, then sent a good bit of paperwork via email. She asked that I print it out, fill out by hand, then mail back.

After hearing EMB's story, I'm really anxious for them to complete phase II before training actually starts!
