You are talking about such a small percentage of those hired that it really makes no difference. When a major is hiring 60 per month if you haven't been called it isn't because someone got hired because their mom or dad worked there.

Good for them. They'll get their ATP when they do their 737 type ride at CALs expense. Anytime someone doesn't have to invest another dime to chase this fantacy career the better.

Thank god the civilian types have something new...
to ***** about.
For years when I jumpseated on regionals, I could not count the number of times the pilots would complain that, "so and so carrier only hires military..."
Now that the vast majority of new hires are civilian, you can't blame the military.
Life is never fair and you have to make your own luck!!
