Can any AT guys that had October class dates chime in with any news? Class still scheduled? How about the September class that just started?

Sept class is going on as scheduled right now. October class is planned to go as scheduled as well on Oct 18th. Nov/Dec classes that were planned are actually being decided on this week, if they are going to continue with them, or slow down and see what happens...no word yet.

Why didn't SWAPA get a choice in the matter like F9? It's odd that management had such respect for their decision on one acquisition, but not another.

Southwest did not want F9... they just wanted to raise the price!!

They've already started.

Now back on topic. Will ground comm in ATL be "SWA XXXX, Citrus Colors" or "SWA XXXX, AirTran Colors"? I like the first, but it could be confused with "Citrus Colored", which would have people looking for an orange airplane. In a couple years they will be orange, but for now they are still white.

I bet they can get 'airtran' and the 'a' scraped off the side sooner than they get one certificate and we have to start using 'southwest' callsign. NW had a bigger fleet to paint.

No, an arbitrator will most likely tell you what's fair.

Huh? ATL has a very high percentage of O and D traffic. That is one of the reasons its one of the most profitable hubs for any airline.

Hi!

Will SWA be buying the Mexicana/Midwest 717s? That would be ironic, as they were going to go to AirTran before, when AT tried to buy Midwest.

I beleive he was stating at as a total percentage of traffic Delta and other airlines have versus O and D pax per hub.

Now what DAL has realized is that it is more efficient to move some pax though MSP and DTW versus ATL. The connecting traffic is what DAL is trying to siphon off of ATL.
