They will also take money out of every pilots pocket as they did in the last contract and will in the next. If you don't believe me DPA themselves stated that. They also for that reason stated they would shut down their efforts well before openers were exchaned on contract 2012 to insure that did not happen. So much for believe their own statements.

The contract survey is another area that can impact management expectations. If only 30% fill out the survey management will draw conclusions from that. First on the list would be that the pilot group is very content with the current contract and desires little in the way of improvements.

They ignored the 2012 survey and now those chickens have come home to roost.

That's why I was a little shocked when DALPA extended the survey deadline. They keep the results such a closely guarded secret I would think the participation rate would be just as important. Publicly admitting that nobody is bothering to fill out the survey seems like a bad move.

Exactly like they stated. Anytime you show a lack of support in a union it's a weakness to be exploited by the other side. Read their letter if it's still on the website. Both management and labor form expectations going into a contract. A divided pilot group raises managements expectations on what they can achieve and prevent us from getting.

The problem is they are roosting in your house! Any pilot who could not take the time to fill out the survey should have no complaints about the result. One other point. Survey participation is very close to what we had in the last two contracts. Within a few points I was just told.

No, that's not what is being said at all. You know that is a huge leap you just took too.

Yeah, they're not roosting in my house either. I filled mine out and, like you said, it wasn't anything like 4,8,3,3. I'm looking for 25,7,7,5... a cumulative increase of 50% over 4 years. With inflation, that puts us slightly below full restoration of the buying power Delta pilots had throughout most of the 1980's, 1990's, and early 2000's. Given the $1 million I estimate I've already contributed to Delta's recovery over the past 10 years, I think I'm being extremely reasonable.
