No. They dismissed the civil case against "John Doe". That case was apparently used to get evidence through the discovery process. They now have enough evidence to file a new suit against the exact individuals. DPA has asked one last time for a public admission and public apology before the case moves forward. If they get that, they'll drop the suit. Apparently, the pilots involved are still refusing.

Could be incredibly sad.

Again man, those kinds of comments are NOT helpful. We need to get people out of this mess, not harden their resolve.

Caplinger continuing to pursue it is what is not helpful. Disgusting.

??? How does us saying that DPA is done and that I'm not going to renew my card because they are blowing money on the "hacking" case make the situation worse?

Your comments aren't bad at all. It's the comments of "disgusting" and the like that will harden people's resolve to not find a way out. If everyone thinks that if they just exert enough pressure on Tim personally he will drop this, they're mistaken. From the beginning he's just used vicious personal attacks as proof of correctness. This is no different.

Fair enough. I don't know Caplinger personally, but if this is "personal" to him then he has some serious issues.

I highly doubt that the hacking did anything to thwart the DPA drive. If I were running the campaign I think I would be responsible enough to not use donations to fight a personal battle.

I was a supporter right up until every e-mail was an update on the hacking scandal and not about what was best for Delta pilots. I really lost interest when they were specifically asking for donations for legal costs related to the hacking case.

This has grown tiresome.
Somebody is disgusting. We just don't know who.

Clearly this whole thing turns on the hacker's connection to DALPA. If any.
Answer that, and then we'll know.

IF DALPA represents the pilot group the way they should be DPA goes away.

IF DALPA operates with transparency, DPA goes away

IF DALPA publicly establishes the goal of restoration, DPA goes away.

DPA exists because of the top down organization DALPA has become. DALPA does as it pleases while scolding the membership for not showing "unity". The flip attitude is really quite remarkable for this type of organization. The membership is fed up.

Tim has said some boneheaded things to be sure. DPA keeps getting a shot in the arm because of the above.

I believe someone from DALPA did hack the DPA website and won't own up to it. If the roles were reversed you can bet your bottom dollar (DALPA would bet if for you) the powers that be would spend your union dollars to expose the perpetrators no holds barred. They don't mind dropping $100K FPL to fight the threat that is DPA as is. There is a lot of hypocrisy on both sides to be sure.

Why would they need to do that. Would not the FBI investigation have turned up the evidence they needed?
