No. Your dick measuring contest with your neighbor is irrelevant.

I was asking if anyone could show harm caused by any of the provisions of C2012. My question was in response to the constant forum drumbeat about the concessions we made in that contract--something that I've neither personally felt nor heard about on the line. It's an honest question, and if someone is taking it in the shorts because of ALV+15 or any other provision, I'd like to hear about it.

You'll notice that I covered the "We should have gotten more" argument in a subsequent post.

Well that was rude. Manager makes a great point. And just to add on to his point... If I compare myself as a 16 year Captain to a guy with 16 years at SWA, he crushes me on pay too. Like Seahawks vs Broncos crush. I don't care what anyone else makes. But the comparison is relevant in terms of evaluating DALPA's performance, which in my opinion is abysmal.

Dude, a small weiner is harm. Manager has a smaller dick than Rolf. How is that not relevant?

Ah, you're right. It was rude. While the pay comparison is a somewhat valid point (that's been discussed here ad nauseum), my question is in response to all of the discussion about the "huge" concessions we took in the last contract.

While my position on the seniority list doesn't make me subject to many recent contractual changes, I was wondering if anyone had a firsthand story to share about how C2012 diminished their QOL.

I see the shift to a comparison with Southwest as deflection; hence my rude reply.

If we had big schwantzes, we'd be in a different line of work!

Just my humble prediction: By the time you retire, our pay in relation to their pay during the last eight years will prove to be an anomaly.

This isn't by any means the most important issue we face. But it's not insignificant either. This should have been a two or three post discussion at most. You are a big part of the reason for all the back and forth. I don't know if you're really that dumb or if you're just trying to provide political cover for DALPA.
I agree it's ridiculous. You've been provided answers by multiple people. But you won't let it go.

I don't know about the other three reps. I exchanged several emails with them too. One of them initially agreed but then later started trying to walk it back. The other two did basically what you've been doing here... danced all around the issue and avoided directly answering the question.
And so you know the person who represents you is in your corner. AND you have addressed your concerns with your rep. The individual who is in the best position to make your concerns known. Yet you just won't let it go. BTW, I'm not in an elected position. It's not my job to answer your questions. So I'm not "dancing" around anything. I simply gave you my answer. You don't agree with it. So that's that.

And just to be clear, your answer is that exactly 8 hours behind the door is in compliance with FAR 117, as long as the flight crew member is okay with it. That is an incorrect interpretation of the FAR. It's also the very same incorrect interpretation being told to pilots by some DALPA officials. That's why it's a big deal.

Oh, the kicker, we were comparing insurance plans over by the mailbox last week.

They CRUSH us on that.

Think like Seahawks v. Broncos crush us.
Yes they do. Hard.

And they don't just fly 73N's,the vast majority of their fleet are 737-700's.

We should be stomping them in pay and QOL (apples to apples pay and QOL, with wide body pay and its inherent QOL…if you like that kind of flying…on top of that).
