If Seham is going to represent DPA then they better be ready to open their checkbooks. Just ask SWAPA.

The DPA sent out an update today that talked both about the hacking lawsuit and then addressed getting a vote in before the TWA lawsuit. I am sure you received the email.
Yes I can't say for 100% that's what Johnso was referring to I was connecting the dots. You know what we used to do on this board before it became a DPA vs ALPA ****ing contest.

Yes I can, because he quoted the post from Clamp that only referred to hacking. The post didn't refer in any way to the TWA lawsuit. You and johnso29 are grasping at straws. Neither one of you read the post. You read what you wanted to read and then reacted with a knee-jerk.

As far as grasping at straws I am simply stating what was in the email from DPA today or are they grasping at straws? Carl I respect your passion for DPA and just don't like the way you attack those who question DPA and their stances.
I have said in the past I sit on the fence in this fight, I do lean towards ALPA mainly because of TC and some of the web board rantings of a few of the DPA guys on the old ALPA site. I hope at some point if a vote is called we can debate facts and not half truths and misdirected quotes.

And they CONTINUE to spew lies. No one has to beat the TWA damages trial, because ALPA can not involuntarily assess it's membership to cover awarded damages. But as usual, DPA ignores facts.

johnso, are you saying that if the ALPA board is presented with the choice of:
1. Going bankrupt.
2. Voting to assess the membership to pay for it. Even though it has never been done before.
that there is a section in the CBL that prevents 2. above? Or that the Board would accept 1.
I think the, "it's never been done before" argument, is skating on thin ice. After all, no pilots ever flew past age 60, until they did.

ALPA is very light on cash right now compared to 10 years ago. As I understand it, ALPA has $90M insurance against the lawsuit, but the MCF is around $35M. What this means is ALPA has a $125M backstop before the assessment. That is a pretty thin wall when you think about it.

You can't point to a single word of my post that indicates joy. Just another feeble attempt by an ALPA apologist to raise emotion to deflect from fact and marginalize the person who posts the fact.
I have no joy in ALPA's likely bankruptcy. I have no joy in what ALPA did to arrive here. I have no joy in ALPA purposely hurting the TWA pilots they represented in the hopes of gaining AMR pilots as new members. The entire episode is sordid and sad.

Typical of the emotionally driven ALPA apologist. You have no facts to back up your assertion of "joy" on my part, so now you're left with: "Come on."
What are you talking about? Red book/green book embarrassment? Did the rocking chair dude tell you that anyone who's not a real Delta pilot is an embarrassment?
Pretty much eh? Like Moak signing the Pinnacle Bridge Agreement without even discussing it with the Delta MEC?
After ALPA specifically failed to represent them because they were busy representing the best interests of American pilots. I know you ALPA apologists just hate this jury's decision, but hate and emotion is no strategy. We're all stuck now dealing with the fallout of ALPA's malfeasance. Trying to blame TWA pilots will get you nowhere.
