Carl, it was a Chairman's Letter, signed by the Chairman. You can blame a lot of things on ALPA National if you want to, but not this one. KR signed it.

This style of thinking is exactly why we are still well below where we should be compensation wise. Manage expectations is the new rule.......

Of course they are. It's another hot topic. And more empty promises from DPA. Once again, they'll somehow magically fix it all.

My career is not a charity. It's just business. My business.

Financial strain on the Company is RA's business, not mine.

I fly airplanes. I do it well. I'm worth a lot more than I currently receive.

Quit trying to be a manager, it's not your job.

That is all.

And ALPA National wrote it.

Wiley is just being himself Leine. Quite often you ALPA apologists say things like: "I want pay restoration too but..." and: "yes we're worth more and I want more too, every Delta pilot agrees with that but..."

I've always said that wasn't true. I've always said that as part of the Delta interview process, we have an extraordinarily high number of guys that believe in two things. First is to NEVER want more than mother Delta is willing to give (just like the other non-union employees). Second is to do EXACTLY what your "strong leader" tells you to do without question. Just be a good soldier. I appreciate this guys honesty because he speaks for a shockingly high number of rocking chair victims.

Excellent. Now we're getting somewhere. At least you realize that your previous post touting the importance of someone's salary being based on their ability to live within their means was just goofy. Now that you've rejected your previous attempt at rational thought, lets go to the next step:

If Richard was hired at a certain pay level because of his skill and education, and then 50% of his pay was taken against his will in bankruptcy, would he not have the right to fight for pay restoration while he still worked here? Would he only be allowed your "small steps? Would you advise him to shut up and live within his means?
