Hey while you are reading, check out Aulinsky's book page 37. Interesting stuff there.
I'm scared too given this was his introduction:
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very
first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to
know where mythology leaves off and history begins—or which is which),
the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and
did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.
—SAUL ALINSKY
Were you talking about Lenin?: "They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and for reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns then it will be through the bullet."

I heard it here first. Blind trust of ALPA will get us where we need to go.

Heck, the MEC can't herd itself let alone 11000.

Winning hearts and minds. If I had even the slightest inkling that anyone in a position of leadership at DALPA was remotely as like minded as you, I would renew my DPA card right now.
What that guy posted is more than remotely reflective of the thinking among the leadership at DALPA. Maybe it's time to renew that card?

Thanks 88, but I can make up my own mind.

I do like using the word scourge though. It would be a good rugby team name.

Since we are supposed to fall in like soldiers, maybe we should get all the civilian guys in the GO parking lot and go through the 54 commands.

Can we call the new MEC Chairman "Dear Leader?" That always sounded so respectful and genuine to me.

Carl,

Some participants of this "special committee" were also among those who built an effective political coalition by targeting Comair pilots. They are experts at setting up scarecrows to unify Delta pilots against a common enemy.

The results of this form of divisive politics are tremendously destructive. Ask a Comair pilot, if you can find one.

You did notice the question mark at the end of that last sentence, right? You're the one who brought up renewing your card. I wasn't trying to make up your mind for you.

88, No worries man, curtness was unintentional.

You know, with DALPA vs DPA, I feel like the whole thing has been metaphorically like Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction when he is trying to explain the meaning of his favorite bible passage to the stick-up guy in the diner.

Ah yes. The typical post from Purple. One that lacks anything productive. Perhaps you can chime in when you actually something productive to add? Or that has even the slightest bit of fact?

You know every month when I get the ALPA magazine the first thing I turn to is the back where I play the doubles picture game looking for all of the differences.

It's like the games I play with my 4 year old.

Where have those admissions ever been made? I've never once seen DALPA ever admit such a thing.
