I posted this a few days ago:

Leading Engagement means that Delta pilots will work to continue the Delta brand leads the industry in safety and customer satisfaction. In return, Delta pilots will demand a contract that continually leads the industry in every section.

3. If, due to Delta's corporate and debt reduction, we ever find ourselves again the target of a corporate raid (ala UsAirways with Delta), the doctrine of Leading Engagement will provide every Delta pilot as a soldier to fight that raid on every front.

4. If, due to Delta's corporate success, management does not give Delta pilots the world's leading contract, the doctrine of Leading Engagement will provide every Delta pilot as a soldier to fight Delta management on every legal front. Including media ads showing management's greed against sharing profits with the pilots who literally saved the company by giving up their pensions and billions in earnings. That same message delivered via informational picketing at every Delta departure station. That same message sent to the company's creditors and bond rating agencies, etc, etc.

5. Maintain a complete and accurate record of our industry's pilot compensation levels and QOL parameters so as to maintain a reasonable margin above the rest.

6. Anytime we actually have a contract that led the industry during its length, continue to show management the benefits of the world's most qualified pilots and best defenders of the Delta brand.

Leading Engagement means that Delta pilots will be either the brand's best defenders, or management's toughest foes in every legal way possible. Leading Engagement means that Delta pilots will once again behave like a true union.
Others have produced similar plans with very similar objectives, strategies and tactics. We've posted them here and on the DPA website. You can't say, "there is no plan" unless you're purposely trying to deceive. Which is, of course, exactly what you're trying to do.

I don't see any plan in there. All I see are goals and threats.

Nice example of rules 5 and 8 of Saul Alinsky's book:

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)
The Special Committee is behaving exactly as planned.

Yup. They gave up a ton on our last contract.
I hear the company also wanted us to work for free.
Why isn't that on your list of things ALPA heroically saved us from?

Just FYI... "scourge" was in that list a few times.

Hey while you are reading, check out Aulinsky's book page 37. Interesting stuff there.

That has got to be one of the most pompous, twerpish things I've ever read on here.

I heard it here first. Blind trust of ALPA will get us where we need to go.

Heck, the MEC can't herd itself let alone 11000.

Winning hearts and minds. If I had even the slightest inkling that anyone in a position of leadership at DALPA was remotely as like minded as you, I would renew my DPA card right now.

Yikes. Unbelievable.

A bit of advice: questioning everything is how you stay alive as a pilot. If you really are a pilot that is.

Does needing to fire the Chairman count as one of the "few problems"?
