Actually, I don't think Mr Anderson cares one way or the other. While he likes having a union that he can work with, having one he can't won't change any of his plans... The one thing he DOES know is that we have a contract that is valid forever under the RLA. We demand the moon, he says no, and we are APA part 2. Easy breezy, and just business. Carl will have to live with none of the fallout either.

Fixed your post.
While this is true, the how to get there is the crux of the difference of opinion. We all know that. DPA has a plan to just say no until we get it. I will be happy to take a small bite of the apple each time until we get there. Their plan worked awesomely at AMR. Small bites in each contract got SWA to where they are now.

We all know the Secret Police/Special Committee doesn't care about this fact, because the classic left-wing Saul Alinsky style of politics is to just keep throwing out what you know to be false.
If this kind of stuff is all you and your Alinsky ilk have tsquare, we DPA members are in good shape.

Step one is to understand that it is a fact. It has been demonstrated over and over again as Delta management has obstructed any DPA effort to the maximum extent allowed to them by law.
Now, why does DPA displease Anderson? Because in Lee Moak's ALPA, he has found a "new style" union. Translated into English, that means saving money on communications by using the union to communicate company points of view, and negotiating on the same side of the table. The thought of actually having an opponent on the other side of the bargaining table is a clear cost increase to management...and therein lies Richard's opposition to anything other than ALPA.

I could careless about name calling. We need 23% to get back to where Delta Pilots were compensated 13 years ago.

To get back to the actual buying power our pay rates gave us in 2004, we need 51% today or 48% in 2015 at the end of this current contract.
Or as Larry The Cable Guy might say, "4-8-3-3 ain't gonna git er done."
