Look. When we first came out of BK, I have absolutely no doubt that the vast majority of this pilot group would have supported a push for restoration. Maybe not all at once... but I have no doubt that this would have been an acceptable objective to the vast majority of our pilots. All we needed was some good leadership. Instead, DALPA spent all these years going along as if our new BK standard of living is a new baseline. No apparent objective of restoration. No sense of urgency. In addition to that, we've had communication after communication (along with numerous posts on the DALPA Forum and here from the usual suspects) poo-pooing the idea of restoration. I'm sure you're not going to agree with my assessment of the situation but I think it's pretty darn spot on.

Don't know the exacts but it has something to do with the first TA and I guess memos to the group or something. It's an ALPA guy who told me about it. I'd have to see on the AT threads.
To me I thought they should keep fighting SWA but I guess some were really okay with the first TA.

I think that's their plan... after they spent the past 5 years trying to lower our expectations.

I truly appreciate all the work that went into the contract comparison, and the contract surveys etc., etc...in the end I know how much we used to make, how much FEDEX, UPS and SWA pilots make. I know about UCAL, AMR and USAPA; I worry about the economy, cabbotage, and Chinese carriers flooding the market with state supported A380s...I expect DALPA to follow the path in negotiations that we tell them to follow and if the end product doesn't meet my approval, I will vote "No" (as I have twice before to no avail)...but in the end I will accept the fact that my vote (and my opinion) means no more or less than yours....good luck to us all!

If there is evidence of this, there will be yet another DFR suit against ALPA. If there's no evidence, then there won't.

So don't mask your jealousy in sarcasm. It is truly possible that you will one day write something worth reading! So just keep trying.
