Then you posted links to the 10 year old written "DPA facts" links. I'm far from sold on the DPA, but you really expect anyone to take you serious after that?

Those facts come from the DPA website.

Fact: DPA was taking pictures in the pilot lounge

Fact: DPA took it upon themselves to turn in a fellow pilot to the CPO for allegedly violating Delta social media policy. ( I guess your cool with that, as are the other apologist)

I hate my MEC as much as the next guy but it amazes me that people are po'd that ALPA reps/volunteers post on these boards. I don't know about DL, but I guess I'm curious how much FPL LEC reps receive vs MEC reps.

If they didn't post here and there were unanswered questions/rumors, some of these same folks who can't stand ALPA reps/volunteers posting would be up in arms that they were not.

Haven't you guys seen your dues-paid message board anyway? Terrible doesn't even begin to describe it.

- Not an ALPAoid at all. My MEC can't handle "renegade" pilots.

Food for thought:

To the same degree Americans are concerned about irresponsible, greedy corporate execs who got cushy bonuses from taxpayer-funded bailouts, we should also be concerned about greedy union bosses who are willing to tank our economy just to protect their own power. As union history shows, power and greed corrupt. Just because you claim to represent union members doesn’t mean you are on the side of the angels. The greed of too many of these union bosses has all but destroyed the labor movement in this country, helped chase away our jobs, and is killing the American dream.

Yes Carl!

First of all, registration was required to attend. Then names were crossed checked with a list, then about four or five pictures were taken. Then a video camera was aimed right at the attendee. Then, TC informed "if you don't want to be photographed, don't be here." (he said it nicely, not in a confrontational way)

It was not my thought that the DPA did this with any malicious intent, but just as you state, they wished to record the event and the attendees for posterity. ALPA has every right to do the same. Besides, there is not many times (any more) when pilots get treated like movie stars chased by the paparatzzi. (sp?)

Maybe they do this so they can update their facebook page

"Greedy union bosses" did not tank our economy. Managers who leveraged their companies 40 to 1 using crap for collateral crashed our economy after they had milked every fraction of a penny from production costs by outsourcing labor to desperate, poverty stricken, places that they'll never visit.

Unions and their members were the middle class. The middle class who's consumers drove our economy. The middle class who has been so stripped of their wealth that they are now incapable of driving an economic recovery in the way that it has been driven in the past.

The fall of unions has paralleled the fall of professions and the decline of the American economy. For the economy to recover, the middle class has to recover. For the middle class to recover the over centralization of wealth which is being hoarded needs to get into the economy where it can be employed and multiplied.

Total BS reroute. You wouldn't know how to list an undistorted fact. No surprise there.

Try to pay attention Carl, straight from the DPA's own website.

"Unfortunately for the authors, evidence was left behind that DPA was able to analyze and use, pointing to specific Delta pilots. Delta management was provided the evidence because the Delta brand was being tarnished and the videos violated Delta's Social Media Policy. Management committed to throwing the “full weight of Delta Air Lines” behind the prosecution of this unprofessional behavior. It is sad that careers may be in jeopardy because individuals can find no better way to respond to DPA assertions."

Wow, the DPA brags about turning a pilot in because he damaged the Delta brand. Really, or did the DPA not like the message and was using defense of the Delta brand as a pretext to silence free speech?

The DPA also admits, on it's own website, to gathering photographic evidence in the pilot lounge.

Carl, either you are a liar, or the DPA is, but it's all in the DPA's own communication.

To recap, according to the DPA, the DPA turned a pilot in to the CPO for violating company policy and the DPA was in the lounge gathering photographic evidence.

I can't wait for the DPA hat police, maybe they'll gather photographic evidence of pilots not wearing their hats and provide it to the CPO.
