That's quite a leap!

I was offended by the comment too. But I'm also offended by someone trying to use the comment to disparage others to score political points. I think you owe the "DPA senior leadership" an apology.
Your kind has been on here for over a year now talking about how Duane, Randy, John and Lee (partial names for mods) and how they individually are responsible for the whole organization. Your kind has been assigning blame to individual reps, pilots, volunteers and other pilots at Delta as if they are responsible for the whole organization and all it's faults past and future. How is this any different? One bad dount does ruin the box.

Spoken like a true DPA apologist. I call DPA out for the racist comment a member of their leadership team made and somehow that offends you and I owe DPA an apology.

Has DPA publicly distanced themselves from this individual and his racist comments? Until they do and their supporters quit trying to sweep it under the rug, they are complicit in it. IMO

You mention that you were offended by the comment too, so I suppose you read it, but have you been offended enough to comment on it on the DALPA forum and publicly demand his removal from the DPA senior leadership structure, or will you remain silent? I have a hunch I know the answer to that one, but I hope you prove me wrong.

Why? Are your reps not working out for you? Carl and I were assimilated together but our red-green history makes us oh so much different in our views.

Not me, pal. I've been on here for over a year talking about how ALPA (the whole organization, including DALPA) is ineffective in representing the best interest of Delta's pilots. I fully recognize and acknowledge that their failures have been a "team effort."

So you were former Republic, Northwest, then Delta?

I wasn't able to be there, so I'll keep my comments until I see the film/reportage of the event.

You completely ignore a post full of questions and facts you know are problematic; ignore this new fact because you refuse to believe that someone might tell the truth here and then try to paint me as someone else instead of discussing the issues. How about instead of the Carl bully and typical I'll move the cheese retort that I misquote you on the DAL in house union thread? Here is Carl saying the In-house union won't work.
Why don't we all use our energies to fight this scope cave-in, instead of wasting a single brain cell on something that will never happen.

Carl
Easy isn't it You can't be a bully on every post you disagree with just because it doesn't fit your view of reality.

They should and suspect they will if they are not tone deaf. Actually, if he were smart, he'd just resign and apologize and get out in front on this.

It hasn't been that long since a former Negotiating Committee Chairman basically threw a temper tantrum on the forum. I didn't see anybody extending that to mean all DALPA officials and former officials are hot heads.

How long has it been since the comment was posted? Even you know that things don't happen that fast. But I'll tell you what... if DPA is going to address this, I'll bet it happens a lot faster than DALPA addresses any kind of objective for our pilot group.

I haven't really followed that thread much. I read the comment. It looked like others pretty much covered it, and I moved on. I didn't see the need to pile on. Unlike those who are spring loaded to pull the trigger on anything DPA, I'd like to give the poster a chance to give his side of the story.

In any case, while the comment was certainly bad (or at least wide open to being interpreted as bad), I'm betting that if he wasn't associated with DPA, you wouldn't be making anywhere near as big a deal out of this.
