A friend out west said his LEC rep stated we would go for a 15% pay raise, total in the next contract. I trust him, and he was extremely frustrated. If true and it is in the opener, I predict a DPA roll over of ALPA. That opener is everything, and it better be a lot more than that 15% rumor. Where is that contract survey? I am ready darnit!
There is no union position. If he is spouting this, then it may be his position after seeing a E and FA of DAL but it is not our opener. It has not even been drafted yet.

Where can I put I no longer want buses in ATL that try to break your back coming over the bridge on the way to the airport.

Exactly, Not only has it not been drafted the MEC has not entered discussions on the subject. Individual reps may have a personal opinion but if they are stating its a MEC position they are lying. The opener will be constructed off the contract surveys. It should and will reflect the wishes of the majority of the pilots at Delta.

I think they should take the retired DC-9s, take the wings, tail and one of the engines off and then use them as employee shuttles. The DC9-30s would work perfectly!

The employee buses. If you're the type to like the back of the bus and the bus isn't packed to the gills like it so often seems to be for me, this is the kind of ride your spine gets when you hit a speed bump or that damn bridge on the way in.

As far as they survey, let me guess let me guess! You guys better fill this out (which we will) because guys number one complaint right now is crew meals!! And if you don't fill it out then the union will be obligated to fight for crew meals over everything else!!!!
I first heard that damn line 10 years ago at Coex and if I hear it again then I'm going to start questioning who writes the playbook. Just say "survey time! a chance to maybe be heard and maybe have a say in the direction of our contract."
BTW, I have no problems if my survey results were published at dal.alpa.org with my name attached in the same way the reasons reports posts my name. None. And my name isn't FTB. Just, you know, fwiw.

I've full on gone airborne out of my seat a few times over that bump. Makes it very difficult to surf APC on my android.

Is this the right place to ask DPA questions now? Sorry mods if not.
I've been reading for weeks from many of you about sending a message to ALPA, now the DPA is saying they don't want people just to send a message. There was a foreign-born FO handing out cards while I was on a productivity sit in LaLa Land a week ago and telling people to send a message to ALPA. He seemed very passionate about the message of sending a message and not so much the group.
So which is it? The DPA just posted this:

There is no marketing campaign to “Send ALPA a message by sending in your Card”. Funny thing is that we have always told people we are not interested in sending a message. We want out because there is no hope of deep change from within ALPA. We have even discouraged pilots from turning in a Card just to send a message. We want real Cards from real people who want real change. If a pilot is simply undecided, we want that Card and then we will work like crazy to prove we deserve it.
I'm reluctant to send a card and then get 'sold' on the group. The recruiters seem to be saying different things than the DPA? I understand I can't get my card back from them, ever. So how do I change my mind if I put my card in first? It seems like they just want my card?
