But I'm sure alfaromeo/slowplay/pineapple guy will still call DPA the Detroit Pilot's Association.

I was at NWA at that time. I remember thinking that I was never prouder of you Delta guys than I was back then. Your MEC Chairman went to the Wall Street bankers who were to fund the buyout and let them know how tough it would be to run a profitable airline with pilots that were totally opposed to you. He acted like a union leader. You pilots acted like union pilots. It worked. It could work again.

According to DPA's own published numbers, your rumor is FALSE. You can look it up on their own website.

No, Carl, it's NOT true. See DPA's website. TANSTAAFL's rumor was ATL had the largest percentage of their base; NOT TRUE.

Well I am an ATL M88A and wear a lanyard. I haven't flown with any FO's wearing lanyards.
There are a lot of angry pilots, most of them are angry with ALPA, but feel DPA is not the answer.
If all the angry pilots would go to LEC meetings and let their reps know what they want to change maybe ALPA will change.

Ooops, can't do it next week, I've got the kids for the weekend...
Ooops, can't do it the week after, I need to count the money from my "Hello Kitty" franchise...
It's always something, and while people say they're angry, they're really just being drama queens.
If they were REALLY angry, they'd set about doing something about it, like massing an LEC meeting or recalling a recalcitrant rep.
I don't see anything like that here. I see a bunch of people too lazy to take charge and too lazy to do anything but scribble their name on a card and let proxies fight their battles.
That's MUCH easier than getting involved.
