Bingo. Different MEC, different Reps. Dust them off by resubmitting them or a version thereof at an LEC meeting and send them to the new MEC for action.

How can you make that statement with a straight face? Out of the 2300 people who have signed cards, can you name 5 people who have come out openly and said "My name is John Doe, and I support DPA."?

Their website only had two listed as base reps, before they pulled that whole link down (I wonder why?). One of those was TC. So, either they have no leadership, or the leadership is in fact "shadowy" as we don't know a single other individual.

Please, let me know the top 5.

Why yes I can! I run into them all the time... mostly in the pilot lounge in ATL. But none of them are named John Doe... so I guess you got me on that one!

Well, you're going to have to do your own homework if you really want to know who is actively supporting and advocating for DPA. Hint: I don't think you're going to have much luck finding this on an anonymous public forum.

But let me guess. You don't really care that much who they are. You just mainly want to be able to say they are "shadowy" and anything else you think might cast doubt about the legitimacy of DPA's efforts.

Actually, I HAVE done my homework. I have scoured their very own website and come up empty. Why do you think that is?

So, let me ask you again. How can I find out who is running this organization?

Not talking about supporters. I'm talking about the leadership. Who are the reps? Who are the committee chairpersons? Who is the Pres/VP/Sec/Tres? Who are the movers and shakers? What outside organizations or law firms have they contracted or affiliated with?

I don't know you so I would presume to ascribe motives to you for your support of DPA. But from what I've read and heard about DPA and who is shilling for it on this board I'll pass.

Easy. They have been very clear from the start that the pilots will determine who serves in what capacities at the proper time (i.e. when DPA is certified as our union). It would be inappropriate for them to select an administration and individual representatives without the rest of the pilot group.

Well, you know from the web site that this is TC's brain child and he is very instrumental in getting it off the ground. If you look at the link that was posted way earlier in this thread, you can get two more names. Next, you can ask your buddies that spent the week in ATL harassing... err, I mean monitoring... the DPA representatives during "surge week." I'm sure they have a list of names... and even some pictures! I transited through the ATL pilot lounge a handful of times last week and randomly ran into two different Captains (both ATL based) who volunteered their time to support DPA for the ATL surge week. It's really shouldn't be that hard for you to find out what you want to know... if, of course, you really want to know!

I would expect nothing less from you.

Is that some sort of insult? Is that your attempt at persuading prospective members? Or is this Delta pilot not worthy in your eyes because, A: I don't agree with you and B: I'm junior and have not been here long enough to matter?

Not worthy because you have a low regard for this profession.

There you have it. One union brother thinks the other is unworthy because of a difference of opinion. No wonder our scope clause sucks.
