Turn out the lights. The party is over. This was the last gap for the Detroit Pilots Association. They don't have anywhere near the cards they need and the original cards now start to expire. The only thing left will be the pre planned lawsuits.

I actually feel sorry for TC, the DPA supreme leader or whatever he calls himself. He is so obviously out of his league that it is sad to watch. DPA says they have experienced union reps standing by to support them and I actually believe that. It is just these experienced people don't have the guts to stand up and make themselves known, they have pushed TC out to do their dirty work while the skulk around in the shadows. When this whole thing implodes, they will crawl back under their rocks, with their anonymity intact.

TC is a junior guy that got caught up in a double furlough and his life has been hell for the last decade. He has a right to be ticked off at the world. These unknown supporters have taken advantage of his anger and pushed him out into the spotlight so he can take all the heat when things go wrong. Now he may be known as the rat fink that snitched to management and got a fellow pilot fired. I am sure that will help his career a lot.

I probably know most of these behind the scenes rat finks, mostly guys that have oversized egos (and undersized ....) and they can't stand the fact that they lost an election. They have worked against the Delta pilots for years now, trying to make the situation worse so they can prove that without them in charge the world will come to an end.

Like you said, they have failed in this too, their last act of desperation will be the lawsuits, where they will try to tie up the real union, the one that tries to protect pilots jobs and not get them fired, They will try to make ALPA fail in our next contract negotiation because they are that bitter and self serving. Real men of courage. Let's vote for them.

You know though. Whether DPA is the answer or not I don't know. But it is serving a purpose. By giving an option of another union out there it puts pressure on ALPA to address issues just due to the fact that if they don't they might lose some support and give a little bit of momentum to this new union push. Take the RAH scope issue. ALPA in no way shape or form wants to deal with this or make a statement in any way. I have no confidence that they would try and fight for our scope protection in this instance. However, with having another union that could gain ground if they don't address this problem it raises the stakes for ALPA. They are forced to deal with it. Its sad that this is one of the main motivations for ALPA and that they think how can we handle this without losing anybody to DPA. I still don't think anything will come of the RAH thing, even though I think it's a blatant violation of our section 1, but if it does I think DPA would be one of the reasons.

From the DPA FAQ's:
__________________________________________________ ____

Is it true that DPA is running up against a deadline in May?

There is no deadline for the completion of our campaign. We have a minor limitation placed on us by the National Mediation Board that requires all Authorization Cards submitted be no older than one year from the date on the application for a vote. My Card is the oldest Card on file with a date of May 15th, 2010. The first 100 Cards were not in hand until late August. All Cards can be updated by resubmitting a new Card and destroying the old one. Should our campaign move into the fall, DPA will contact our oldest and most dedicated members and request they submit an updated Card. Let’s work together to finish our campaign before that extra work becomes necessary.

MS posted that article on the public website for his "financial services" business. He put it on the ALPA forum. He e-mailed it to a wide distribution channel, many of whom were management that he met while working as an instructor/4th floor guy. He was a good friend of JK (an EVP at the time). You think somebody else in management that he actually sent the article to might have noticed the fantasy that he put out? But in your world it's always Moak's fault.

Is this the best you DPA'ers got? Are you unable to address the fact that DPA collected evidence that in their own writings acknowledge putting Delta pilot jobs at risk...right now...? Shows a lot of character, just not the type your mommy could be proud of.
MS told me personally and also spoke publicly about the fact that Lee Moak did this.

I like the way you categorize his article as "fantasy." Nice. Just another typical DALPA tactic. If you can't win the argument, discredit your opponent.

Thanks for that post. The last time you/slowplay posted this was about 6 months ago when DPA had 1,000 cards. Now they have 2,300 plus.

If you wouldn't mind, could you please post this once a month until we reach 6,500 cards. Thanks for your continued efforts in this most important matter.

Sincerely,

Carl

I know. He got the DPA week-long meeting in the ATL crew lounge despite the company doing all they could to block it, and despite DALPA guys doing all they could to scuttle it all week long. He's just so out of his league.

I'm so glad you do this alfa. It shows all of us what DALPA/ALPA does best: Slander people. Imagine if you did your job within DALPA as well as you slander people alfa. You might even represent pilots and fight for our Section 1 with all the extra time you'd have.

More silly slander. Where has he ever said he's ticked off at the world?...besides within your own mind that is. You shouldn't be this way. Just because you're angry at humanity by not being appreciated for your skills at slander. I understand your rage alfa. But rage is not a strategy.

Just more baseless, factless and silly speculation on your part. From everything I've seen, Tim has been running a pretty effective effort with almost no money. Only the energies of people who want to give Delta pilots another option for representation.

Another example of the talent within DALPA. Baseless charges followed by slander. Tell me alfa, do you put in for flight pay loss for all your "work" here on APC?

Discrediting is all DALPA seems to have left. I guess if you can't talk about the real reasons you cannot defend our own contract's Section 1, you talk about what you can talk about...your opponents.

Nice, 200 cards a month means we have 21 more months until they reach 6500. Give another 6 months for the election and we will be changing unions 7 months AFTER our amendable date. Excellent plan Carl, maybe we can have the contract sewn up by 2018 or so. Wait, will you be retired by then?

My bet is that it's going to take longer than that to reach 6,500 cards, and as such, the vote will not take place until after the new contract is signed. It will be nice to have a new union in place then. A union that will actually defend the contract.

The 2018 time frame will depend on the company, the NMB, and DALPA. But it is an excellent plan to have a new union by then to defend the new contract. I'll be 60 in 2016 so I probably won't see very much of the new contract.
