Carl;
Why do you think Section six talks drag out? It is so that inflation catches up with the demands. Duh. That is not managing anyone's expectations, it is merely an observation.

Carl;
How many times has there been 100% retro? Just asking?
Trust me when I tell you that you are dead wrong. I am willing to risk everything but not on a fools errand. Before you can create demands as large as many want, you need unity.

Get that one little item take care of and you have gone a long way in helping your chances of receiving your demands. Divisiveness like DPA is not the way to start.

No amount of you changing the subject will undo your words acl. You don't believe we can get anything other than inflation based increases from here.

Pathetic and weak.

I've been part of a number of very strong retro pay packages. But only because I was part of a group who fought for it.

Your own words reveal your incredible weakness and risk aversion.

You are willing to risk nothing. That is your right. I really disrespect your attempt to spread your weakness however. It is truly shameful.

100% retro should be a non-negotiable item for next time around. Without that, the company has no reason to sign anything for about 5 years. And, even with retro they are still taking a free loan out of YOUR pocket unless some sort of penalty is included which I have never heard of.

If you are giving out free loans, please PM me.

Spot on. It is just business. ALPA needs to start thinking this way if they want to continue in their current form.

I move that the forum immediately adjourn and Col. 88Driver be placed in the couch in front of his favored football team with the coldest beverage of his choice. The Col. has rights. I move that we proceed with an immediate Section 6, since we ALL deserve a lot more than we are getting as of now.

Hope you enjoyed tonight's APC Cinema. Tune in next week for our rendition of "Big Trouble in Little China", starring Ferd and Denny.

Maybe this poster has spoken with someone at DPA that told him the 25% number? In any case, I would suggest giving people the benefit of the doubt before accusing them of lying. (Unless, of course, you have proof.)
That is an example of hearsay. Not claiming they are lying, I'm just a doubting Thomas when it comes to webboard "facts". Whoever has the info has not made it public, all I ask is that people don't communicate something as a fact when there is no way to prove said fact.

Unless a statement can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, its just a rumor or opinion.

If this reflects DALPA's stance on restoration, then it is an easy choice for me and probably many, many more here.

ACL, you were hired here in 07/08 if I recollect correctly. I must say, your view and that of those that experienced the losses associated with BK are more than likely diametrically different.

Not being disrespectful, but I am guessing that coming from a regional carrier to DAL after BK was wrapped up gives you a completely different perspective than one experienced by a dead zoner. That dead zoner is going to be more inclined to seek restoration. It is a business decision for that pilot. I can also see where coming in late in the game and being near the bottom of the SL, it might also be a business decison for you to take the safe "wait til inflation catches up" stance and don't rock the boat.

Try to see it from the position of those that actually lost in BK. Match that with the current position or non position from DALPA . Now maybe you can see why the natives are beyond restless.
