Splash,
Maybe I misunderstood, but I think all Carl was doing was making the point that the NLRB would be counting cards. I don't think he was commenting on how/if polling would be done at DPA. I'm not sure if he ever really addressed that issue.
Oh... and if I failed to attempt to clarify anyone else who might have been misunderstood... please accept my apologies!

You missed my point. I am saying some ALPA supporters are trying to paint Carl as DPA, its leaders so to speak, and by insinuating this, they are misrepresenting the facts. This is their strategy and I think it will be played out more as time goes on against others who are vocal. He is just a supporter like the rest of us. He has ruffled some feathers and I understand why. I don't always support his approach or opinions but he makes many valid points about problems within ALPA. These are problems which many supporters of the status quo completely ignore or gloss over at best. I don't think he's blindly supporting anything if you are referring to his support of DPA. Competition is a good thing for all of us.

Ok. Then tell me, Carl, who will control the surveys and polls at the DPA?
Don't try to be clever, please. Do some research and tell us if the organization you support has a plan for getting accurate feedback from us.
Take it another step, and describe the way you'd like to see feedback collected and handled. Should it be done by polling? Should the polling or survey results be published?

That is the exact opposite of what is coming from the DPA camp. Setting the expectation bar low is exactly what I keep hearing from the ALPA camp.

I can keep making stuff up just as fast as you and Toga, capncrunch.

The thought that our ALPA negotiators are setting the bar low and trying to keep expectations at a minimum is sickening. It reminds me of a dog thats been on a leash too long, soon enough you don't need a leash because the dog thinks it's on one and wont stray. It's called Learned Helplessness.
