I guess Kennedy was a better president than Adams because Adams lacked the vision for a goal oriented space program.

Uh... OK... I think. Last I checked, Lee had nothing to do whatsoever with US/AW. What's your point? I'm not saying he could have done any better there either, but you seem to dismiss the accomplishments at DAl as "well... duh... anybody could have pulled that off." I happen to disagree with that assessment, that's all. US/AW is exactly what you said... irreconcileable, and I have no idea how it even enters into this discussion.

The merger was a success.
We are adding mainline aircraft, and parking RJs.
We are hiring.
We are adding flying.
LOL, keep repeating that to yourself, Stuart. And Gosh Darn it, I bet people like you, too.

The pilots at our peers, AMR, UAL, CAL...they're kicking our tails! Hiring more pilots, growing faster, tapped for larger Profit Sharing, and basking in the security of a well-executed merger.

Golly I wish I was there!

If Moak had been tougher and harnessed the anger of our pilot group, we'd be making as much as our brothers at AMR/CAL/UAL...and every RJ flying our code would have been replaced by DC-9s!
Sarcasm win!

You've made your point. You're wasting your keystrokes here though.

So I am guessing by your cynicism, you feel that Dave Stevens, with all his chest thumping and obstinance, would have done a better job for us... he was far from amazing. No eye rolling needed.

The fact that you think any pilot from either said had THAT much to do with the success of the merger is LAUGHABLE. What egos....

But then Lee wouldn't be President of ALPA and loved so much by management types.

This first survey will be controlled by the National Labor Relations Board.

I'm betting at least 60%

Really? And you want these guys to represent us?

Oh, one of the blogging sponsors has that little point wrong too.
