You oughta set your sights on something different.

Leave JBLU for FedEX or UPS.

Default GMAN---This is ridiculous, shame on you

GMAN-
Wow...what a great post you put up. Im impressed.

First...you start of a thread by listing things about 2 airlines that you have no working experience in. You dont work for either (or so you say) yet you choose to write about them and list supposed shortcomings of each. So you start a discussion (i.e. request FEEDBACK from US to your post) and sit and wait.

Second...when guys do respond, instead of being professional, you go and deliberately answer each guy, throw names at each one of them, make accusations and statements of "fact", and deliberately start a "rockfight" as you put it. Yet you are the one that asked for the replies and the input!! Amazing. Not only that, you are rude to the person doing it because their reply is not what you "think" is right. WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE DUDE???? What is it that you wanted by posting this thread.

Third....dont be weak and hide behind the statement "my FRIEND is looking at two airlines". Be a man and say its either you or its not. If your "friend" needs the advice, then your "friend" will log on here and ask the question himself.

As a pilot, extend the courtesy of atleast being professional to us and the people of this forum. If you want "ADVICE", ask for it, but dont be an a$$ when you get it back.

Personally, I was going to extend to you some knowledge of what I know when you posted this thread. But after seeing your behavior and your "responses" in trying to get a "rockfight" going, I certainly dont care to help you or your "friend". And isnt this the whole reason we have this website. By the way, I've been a pilot at BOTH JETBLUE AND SOUTHWEST so I may know what Im talking about.

Clean it up man, both for our sake and the common respect of the profession. You sound like you have some experience that others could "BENEFIT" from, please use it wisely and let us learn from it rather than starting arguments. We have enough as a profession to worry about.

Metal 121,

sorry it took me a while to get back to this forum.
First, I do work for JetBlue.
Second, I did not start the name calling. Read through the entire thread.
It was you SWA fanatics and wannabees who can't cope with a different opinion and have to revert to namecalling when the arguments run out.
Third, "my friend" is aware of all your ignorance and lack of tolerance and did not want to post him/herself in this forum for fear of being recognized at new hire class at SWA.
Forth, I am staying at JetBlue and quite like it.

Cheers

SW every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Ignore that at your own peril.

Thumbs down SWA only because of the pay and bennies

Here's a balanced observation.

Sh!tty pay and benefits,.......or

Sh!tty product.

Take your pick.

And these are the 2 best airlines,....not!! pathetic.

Been a bit since I checked in here. I can't believe this thread is still alive. Like many of you, I'm sorry I wasted time even responding to Gman as he clearly is a JB man and never had any intention of jumping ship. Good for him - I wish him and my friends there well in the future. It looks like his goal was not for advice with a sincere career choice, but rather to stir the pot. It worked. Let's let this die.

If I was in your boat, go to Southwest. They are a proven winner and money maker for the last 30 years. No other airline can match it. Not sure how JB has been doing lately as for profits vs loses. As for the RJ's, all they do is lose money. Air Tran had them then canned the idea.

Default FedEx/UPS the clear best choices!

No doubt about it, SWA is solid and pays well...

However, a single terrorist strike could severely hinder SWA and all PAX boys. Other conditions and market forces could hurt SWA's "planned" growth: Terrorists/TSA/rebounding legacies/end of hedges...etc. could cripple SWA.

Hell it would take the great depression II to mess FedEx/UPS up.

The two airlines do not even compare, this thread should never have been started!
