I see a common thread...y'all want to work for the airlines that can actually pay their pilots, ya know, the ones that are profitable. Ask the same question ten years from now and I'm pretty sure you won't get the same response...the favorite airline is the profitable airline.

"TSA? So what? It takes about 30 seconds to get through security, about the same as before. FFDO's take longer. They stand around waiting for a TSA supervisor to sign them in. I don't take off my shoes. Many airports I don't even go through security. US and International.

Good for you. I gave it up after being furloughed from Delta. I now am an International line holding WB Capt while my contemporaries elsewhere are domestic WB F/O's working a lot harder and getting paid a lot less than I do. (I know that could change in 5 years and I hope it does for their sakes) I could not have been luckier to have been furloughed when I was. I don't miss the whiny passengers, the running from ATL gate A32 to B1 with a 30 minute turn or waiting for the pax to leave the plane before I head to the hotel. I'm at the hotel enjoying a cold one in the time it used to take me get to the van with Delta. Yes I climb stairs but if I remember terminals have stairs as well. I have no idea why you think cargo pilots ever deal with trucks. For every nice FA I dealt with there was a nasty one to make up the difference. Don't knock cargo flying. Even in down times it pays the bills well and affords a very nice lifestyle. My career ego is not based on what is behind the cockpit door but on being a professional at my job and doing the best I can. It's flying big shiny jets around the world that does it for me, not having passengers instead of cargo in the back. But hey, you just keep "taking passenger flying anytime" and I'll keep a beer cold for you at the bar in Hong Kong when you finally get there.....

I wish I were a cargo pilot.....10 years of flying people and I've had enough. my guess is that the cargo ramp is less a pain in the a$$ then the terminal.
