AE hiring more instructors to prepare for the recalls starting. AA will probably make the official announcement very soon.

Strangely enough they just posted again today for EMB/CRJ instructors. Either they didn't get enough qualified apps last time (about a month ago) or they expect additional training cycles from the newly finalized* 2011 plan (SJU downsizing will of course result in some displacments and related cycles, but enough to add even more instructors?).

*They say it's finalized. Of course the past indicates that it's final only until it changes in a month or two.

I want to be optimistic, but is there any chance that Eagle will hire lots of pilots before the 1500hr and ATP rule go into effect? This would be a way to grandfather in hundreds of pilots with less flight time. This way they wouldn't be caught short when the rebound goes full steam ahead. Just a thought, I hope I'm wrong and all of my furloughed friends have a chance to get back to mainline. AA is due for some really good news.

Reduction in scope, recall all at AA buy Jetblue and flush the B6 guys. AA 1850 pilots on the street B6 2000 pilots, new 100-150 seat a/c control of JFK and BOS.

Harsh but I wouldn't put it past AMR. The funny part is 100+ of those 1850 are B6 now.

Numerous rumors about recalls. Company has major announcement planned tomorrow. Press shingding about the JBV with BA/AA/Iberia.
New city pairs, recalls, jets, etc, etc. We'll see.
