Delta invites and prior busted rides...
In my crusade against what the media has done to the piloting profession, I am curious as to whether any one is getting to the interview stage with a busted 61/141/121 ride on their record. Just trying to collect more information.

I would IMAGINE that with the number of APPS DAL has to choose from, they would skip over anyone with less that a spotless record. I don't mean driving, but flying. That is just my opinion and I very well could be wrong.

True, although I was hired back in 2001 with an initial ATP/Upgrade bust from a 121 on my record. They asked what happened, I told them the truth, (brain fart,) and that I continued on. Passed the busted portion a few nights later.
They are looking for well rounded individuals, and understand that pilots make mistakes. As long as you are honest about it, and demonstrate you learned/grew from it, they don't hold it against you.

One would think they would be looking for patterns. If you have a pattern of busting every check ride, they might not want you.
We all know how subjective check rides are. Check rides vary from examiner to examiner. Some guys cut you slack, others may bust your balls.
Right now delta has their choice to hire the cream of the crop.

I was hired in 2007 with a busted Private ride. Listed and explained on the app - I don't remember if it was discussed in the interview or not.
But remember, by the time people get to applying to Delta, they have had many checkrides. I think they would be looking for a pattern of failure or a lack of taking responsibility.

2 busted 121 training events and an over turned termination from a 121 carrier and I got hired. Just be honest, in my case they just wanted to hear the stories. As always, if they called you they want to hire you.
