Spirit pilots, take your time. READ ALL the contract and watch out for the booby hatches that Balddanser has left for you to enjoy in the future. That management team warrants ZERO trust and even less respect.
I'll second the "well said" comment.

For those of you saying "congrats" please read on: Keep an eye on your scope clause. Section one for those of you looking for it. Don't let what happened to Midwest Airlines, TWA, et. al., happen to you. I sure would hate to see you guys get the nice raise with benefits then end up like an airline that DHL put the screws to. Scope is one of the most important sections you should read and re-read so you don't get swept under the bus. That contract won't mean sh$t if you're on the street. Just ask some of your brother's and sisters out here.

I really hope this is the type of contract you guys deserve. That part still remains to be seen. What has already been learned, and demonstrated, is the effect of solidarity. On behalf of professional pilots everywhere, THANK YOU to the Spirit pilots, and the pilots of the airlines your management thought you could break the strike with, for standing strong and being united. Bravo

Don't worry guys, we take our QOL more serious than pay. It will be what we want or it won't be taken.

The MEC has suspended our lawful strike as of 8:28 p.m.

As reported earlier today, the Spirit Negotiating Committee continued to meet with management this afternoon to complete all issues related to a new Tentative Agreement and provisions related to our return to service. We have successfully completed these tasks and as of 8:28 ET we are no longer on strike.

We are pleased to report that comprehensive agreements have now been reached on both the Tentative Agreement and a Return to Service Agreement, and the MEC has reviewed and approved these agreements.

We have worked with the company to develop return-to-work plans that will quickly transition the airline back to full service and our members and other employees back to full pay. We strongly encourage all pilots to report to their Strike hotels tomorrow to receive a briefing on the return-to-service and the roll we play in normalizing the airline operation. MEC members will be on hand to review the return-to-service agreement.

I wish you guys the best on the TA. If I was close enough, I would have pulled my UAL uniform out of moth balls and come out to walk the line. I took a voluntary furlough from UAL for many reasons not the least of which was the lack of unity.

Hopefully, Spirit's story will awaken those in slumber as to how this process of dealing with an airline management team sometimes needs to go.

I salute all Spirit pilots! Good on ya!!!!

+1000!! I'm proud of the Spirit pilots for standing strong. Thank you for not backing down. Thank you to ALL pilots who refused to fly struck work. I have not seen unity like this in a while.

This demonstration of solidarity has made me proud to be an ALPA pilot.

Congrats Spirit Pilots! Way to stand strong and get what you deserve. Thanks to those Falcon pilots who risked their jobs by not flying and helped out their brother and sister pilots! In the "spirit" of your PR folks, hope you get a "Strikingly" great contract! Congrats!

Thumbs up

Well done Spirit pilots! I hope this TA is everything you guys asked for! The response I saw from other airlines during the picketing events was insperational, I only wish we had this type of unity during any negotiation and not just when stricking.

Not one Spirit scab, that is awesome! Great slap in the face for management.

If you want to post a NKS ALPA e-mail take the hotels out of it. That is specific info and after the strike who knows who would show up. Think smartly.
