Spirit pilots have a TA!!!

Yes it was. If they want a better contract they need to fight for it like we did.
Ram, I am not attacking you here but if you went on strike for other pilot groups then you were willing to sacrifice your job here to better other pilots lives. In my opinion we didn't do this for others.

The Spirit pilot group are doing the best they can to reverse the trend. Our TA is not a crappy contract. Work rules are decent. Language is solidified. The wages are coming up, but slower than most of us hoped for. For you non-Spirit pilots out there, as a 10yr cpt currently at 125/hr, I'll be making 185/hr in year 4. It ought to have been more.
So for you Delta pilots out there (or Airtan/United/American or whoever you work for), take our year 4 pay and our work rules and make your best effort to improve on it. Stick your necks out. Start saving now so you can afford to walk off the job in a strike. You have our support when you do.

He is right, read the entire POS TA, then come back and run your mouth. The ENTIRE TA is full of efficiency gains for the company that will keep those furloughed on the street, and those downgraded, in the right seat. We gave more to the company in effeciency then we got in a meager RATE boost. (Not pay boost, rate boost).
What were the efficiency gainers?
1. Slick new reserve system that sells junior pilots into slavery to increase utilization
2. Transition conflict resolution that allows the company to spread out the effect of transition over double the time period.
3. New RED/GREEN system that will nearly insure that you never see a float vacation day again. (In fact I'll bet you never see a green transition day again! - HELLO FLOAT BLACKOUT DATES!)
4. And lets not forget my favorite, 90 hour max line block, or "FORCED OVERTIME"
Yeah, that will get the furloughs back. This TA might have looked good at your last regional, but not here.

1_ 2 yrs on rsv, never flew past 72 HRS, I actually hang out on a boat.
2_ Thanks GOD, no more 7-9 days straight.
3_ We'll see about that, how is float vac working now?
4_ OT'rs today are blocking over 90, how's that helping now?

No, THAT is funny! I don't think his personal beliefs allow him to own a computer though. And flying with him, for a short time changed the meaning of 'rain coat'. Anyway, back to business...
1. Glade it worked out for you. What if you were out of base and spent those rv days in a hotel or crash pad?
2. Still less pilots required / recalled / upgraded
3. I can see if there is 10% now, under red/green I won't know what the threshold is. In a perfect world, the mec would make sure the 12% was followed, and would have squashed the "net reserve" term in the bud
4. Yep, ot'er are blocking over 90 hours, under the TA, EVERYONE WILL HAVE TO!
Please post any more pearls of wisdom.... I'm hitting happy hour
