Spirit pilots have a TA!!!

In the words of Carl Spackler
…
“The membership vote is the final word. You would return to strike mode, but your negotiators would actually have more ammunition to return to the company and say: "Look guys, the members have spoken - now let's get down to business."
Good luck either way… I have said my piece. I just was wishing that if a fellow ALPA member struck, it would help, not hinder other members in the near future!

Why is it that anyone with a different viewpoint is whining or complaining. There is a lot of experience on this board for you kids to draw from. For example, I've been at Spirit since you were trying to figure out how to cross Clyde Morris. ALPA and the NMB are political entities, the company is not, therefore, absent a strong pilot base, the company wins.
It was a beautiful strike, we had Ben's cojones in a vise, and we were holding the biggest sledge hammer ever made. Then we quit. Screw the NMB, since we were released they mean NOTHING to us. They are irrelevant.

I agree 100%. What the heck is all that strike money ALAP set aside doing? I'm paying all these dues for what??? Spirit is still a sub par airline that hurts the negotiating power of us all!!! When you sign this TA you will still be below industry avg, and in 5 years from now you will still be below industry avg. In 2 years every airline will have a new CBA or be deep in section 6. We will have to bargin against your rates!!!
FYI...I DID NOT go on strike for the Delta pilot group. I walked the picket line for my family and my present and future co-workers. The resulting TA will almost DOUBLE my pay rate in the next five years, while maintaining retirement, scope, and all of our QOL protections(which are LIGHT YEARS ABOVE INDUSTRY AVERAGE, BTW).
I suggest you educate yourself on our ENTIRE ta before you come over here and run your mouth, it makes you look uninformed and hypocritical.

Emphasis on WILL. Like I asked before. How many contracts have been negotiated over the last 15 years that made it to the amendable date without company give backs? Lets hope yours makes it without give backs but the odds of the Lions winning the Superbowl are probably higher.

Wait a sec, when I mentioned to a few MEC members (during the strike) that they were falling into the company's trap discussing our pay as an hourly rate to the media, instead of an annualized salary, they told me not to worry about it, our battle is with the company, not public opinion. SO, they let the news go on about how "Spirit pilots make an average $125/hr", Joe six-pack does the math, 125*40hr/week*52wk/yr... Therefore ALL spirit pilots make 260K/yr! What are you whining about?
Next, if you think this rinky-dink operation warrants even the though of a PEB, you need your head examined.

What were the efficiency gainers?
1. Slick new reserve system that sells junior pilots into slavery to increase utilization
2. Transition conflict resolution that allows the company to spread out the effect of transition over double the time period.
3. New RED/GREEN system that will nearly insure that you never see a float vacation day again. (In fact I'll bet you never see a green transition day again! - HELLO FLOAT BLACKOUT DATES!)
4. And lets not forget my favorite, 90 hour max line block, or "FORCED OVERTIME"
Yeah, that will get the furloughs back. This TA might have looked good at your last regional, but not here.
