Spirit pilots have a TA!!!
#331
Unfortunately, industry average has gone down over the past 10 years. Most airlines are making less now than 10 years ago. We are now moving in the correct direction again and hopefully the NMB will release more airlines in the very near future (assuming their release of Spirit is successful)
What do you mean by a successful release? A release is the result of unsuccessful bargaining, and is granted by the NMB, a neutral party. How does a neutral party claim success if the nuclear option was used?

Like someone, somewhat, alluded to already; It aint rocket science... it is just negotiations and I'll add, it's not just about the money but QOL: This is what the contract is for about 80%+ of the members. GREAT JOB N.C.

Just wondering, what is the source for the 80% statistic?

I have 10 friends, 8 of those friends believe QOL is more important than pay. 8 out of 10 = 80%.
Vote how you will. I am as excited to see the results of the vote as I was the night before we went on strike.
Some people say that we will have new volunteers step up if this TA is rejected and the MEC steps down. I believe we will but I also believe that they will be steam rolled over by NK and Indigo.
Back to square one guys. I'm a yes vote. Not out of fear but because I think it is a decent contract "For Me".

He will have 3 years to think about it until that 'extra cash' starts rolling in. That is if he is still coherent flying 90 hours a month.
