Thanks for the answers Plane Ramrod. Agree, pay lacks some, but at least current TA's (SWA, AK and now Spirit) are moving in the right direction for a change. If each carrier's pilots keep pushing the wage rates higher then ultimately you will see the kind of rates you desire. Wish you could surpass FEDEX and UPS now, but given where Spirit was years ago, from my view you guys are definitely moving in the right direction, but ultimately, the Spirit pilots will have to determine if the contract is good enough.
Pension enhancements, Scope and work rule protections are big wins in this industry and economic environment. Great, no, but Spirit pilots are moving up in the industry from what little you have posted.

Planning your monthly income on OT is ridiculous!
Want more money, CHANGE JOBS.
Want JB pay, go to JB
Want SW pay, go to SW
Want FEX pay, you get the point.
This is Spirit, and you know what you get.
Those of us who think this is a good Draft and believe that the MEC and the negotiations team could not get any more, will vote YES.
Putting this contract down, just because of the pay bracket, is not the smart thing to do.
What do you think is the alternative, and what do you propose?
Asking and not giving doesn't work on this industry. Think about what you are asking and then think about what you'll give up. Because if this little paper doesnt pass, WE ARE GOING TO BE GIVING A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN THE STUPID 150%.

If your not willing to fight for what your worth, fine. Hike up your skirt and vote yes.
Part of the signing bonus should have been a brown paper bag to put over our heads, so we don't need to face our other airline colleagues. We'll be the laughing stock (again) of the industry once the details are out, and the group swallows this crap sandwich

6th Other concessions. Bid-to-bid conflicts, rescheduling, the entire reserve system. All these things save the company a lot of money, which means they cost us a lot of money. I'm all for efficiency, but I think if I'm going to give up something to save them money, we should split it.

Here is a tasty lil morsel I just found...
Sec 25 Scheduling:
Conflict blocks must be reconciled to NO MORE than 6 days on.
SOOOOOO, if you are sched to work the last 5 days of the month and the first 4 days of the next month, sched must drop and pay you for 3 of those days, and the remaining days must be consecutive.
BTW, I agree w/commuter, the company will be begging for the 150% in short order, right about labor day weekend when we have hundreds of uncovered hours and no reserves left.
