Is this one group of four days off per bid period or do you get four consecutive days off after each sequence?

Just curious.
Ok I have relaxed a little. GREAT POST SCOTT!!!!

As for the 4 days off, anytime we have a day off, by contract we have to have 4 off in a row. So there is never any 2 or 3 days in between pairings, always a minimum of 4.

What's the min day off for the month and what's average?

Don't have the old contract with me and my memory is not what it used to be, but wasn't the intention of the old contract to have five days of between rotations? It said something to the effect of 'where possible.....'. However, due to the (non-ironclad) wording, management decided that it was four days. As someone else pointed out, four days off at a time is good, but was anything done to address total days off per month, average line values etc?

Just thinking aloud....

Four days off between blocks of days on **Arbitration Win**, except over transition. 13 days off/mo for lineholders, 12 for reserve (unless its a 31 day bid period, then res get 13 also). Both Jan 31 and Mar 1st are part of the FEB bid period, so May is the 1st 31 day period.

I think there may be some referance to phase of the moon over transition during a 31 day bid period, but it escapes me right now

Thats how we get this profession back to what it once was. Our pay scale goes a LONG way toward doing just that.
In my view, that is exactly the point captscott. We at Delta will now be able to hold your pay rate up as the one we need to exceed on the A320 when our contract is up in 2012. Hopefully we'll exceed it by a bunch, then you can hold up the Delta payrate when your new contract is up.

[QUOTE=captscott26;829888]bottom line guys, this TA keeps our work rules, gives us air tight scope, improves retirement(albeit slightly), and offers a 60% pay increase over the life of the contract. Our guys did a phenominal job on our behalf, and I dont think many could vote down something like that. It isnt exacty what we had in mind for DOS pay increase, but the TA is top notch, as far as I can tell. QUOTE]

I concur

Great job guys... We all know it was a tough battle, and we thank you very much

As far as pay. We have been chasing almost EVERYONE for ages. This TA was going to make up for that and bring us parity. Apparently it is so good that our masters can't even tell us the pay scale without creating a fancy power point. Are we going to be once again rock bottom for the type at DOS? Not to mention we have the most seats on that type in the nation. Our A320 has 178 seats! You know I do not need a road show. I can read English just fine. Email me the PDF. Why is it not out already? It is written isn't it? I will tell you why. Because it needs narration. perhaps it will be Grazel himself trying to sell it to us. Lol. That would be funny.

My MEC told me to prepare to strike until we get a fair contract. It is on that stupid badge! We are not striking anymore. Where is my fair contract? This is what have been verified:

- No retro pay.
- No parity at DOS but parity later. Huh?
- No 150% override.
- No change in the wheel roll vs door close (5% pay cut right there)
- +1 min day off
- 4 days of remains
- no PBS
- +1% matching after 5 years
- Some scheduling changes to help dealing with red eye flying.
- System to control JM

There is nothing to wait for I am afraid. Most of it has already been confirmed on the briefing. They opened by saying "you will not like the pay right away, but you will love it in 5 years". and "Don't just look at pay." What does that tell you?

And as far as growth. The point is, it is NOT safe to assume that there will be growth. I think there will be, but that should not be an influencing factor in my vote. Actually now that we gave the company a TA that I think puts them into a better position, we will probably grow.

Norm:

You are correct.

Wait wait wait!!! Is that right? 60% sounds a lot better than 30%. If that is correct we will probably still not be parity in 2015 but the gap will be much smaller. How sure are you of this? If this is true why the f is this still a secret?

Also nobody said anything about scope so far. That too is good news if true.

OVER AND OVER WE GO.

Guessing is like following a path down a steep mountain. The farther down you go, the harder it is to climb back up. You guys a chomping at the bit with no information.

Norman you said it perfectly when you said, "Wait, wait, wait!!" Thats right we don't know CRAP right now. So all of these what ifs are just making people think that this TA will be junk. I am open to see it before I decide anything. If it is bad, I would vote it down. If good, then vote it in. Remember there is more than pay here, and I would never expect us to top JB on this contract.

Our ALPA team worked EXTREMELY hard to get us where we are. They sacrificed more time and were under more stress than anyone of you will probably feel in your entire careers. Their famlies made the sacrifice also. After all that, I believe we owe it to them to give them the time they asked for to get us a full TA.

Just remember that this isn't all about pay, there are 30+ other sections that need to be addressed.

Is there an ETA when you will be able to view the TA, I am shocked details have not been leaked...

Hope you get an excellent contract!
