From a good source and to "ease" some minds.
DAL is swamped at this time.
HR is swamped.
FLT-ops is swamped.
Dont worry they are taking a "little-break" to catch up on the interviews and classes. They will continue after they catch their breath.
Continue to update and (I know it is hard) but try to relax.

The "little break" might not be desired. There remains confusion over how the flow through is administered. The asset sale (if it effects the flow) wasn't timed conveniently as it may have introduced another set of variables into a seniority number formula which needs to have a correct outcome.
Throw in another merger or two over a career and two pilots hired at the same time might end up several hundred numbers apart in seniority. Getting the initial number right is critical.

I think you've got 2 different points blended here.
Long term disability is technically a medical leave of absence. You retain your seniority number for 10 years on a leave (other than Mil Leave) after which you are removed from the list. You continue to get disability benefits as long as you are disabled until you reach the FAA mandatory retirement age.
