Delta is hiring now

Got those as well! Shirts must have shrunk though as they don't button too well. Roots (right down the street Mr. Lim) also built me two suits for $80. What a deal--still wear them on occasion! Mr. Lim's did get me the job!

My blue suit, red tie, and 50 bucks to airline apps have been waiting!!
I posted this in another thread but realized it was the wrong one. Here is my question
Someone brought this up on our board but how does the flow through work? Does that mean delta HAS to have that many flow up? Does Delta have to give that many jobs to mesaba and compass or is it just interviews? I guess my question is this. Say there are 30 compass guys trying to flow up and 30 from other airlines. The class they want to run will be 40. Does delta HAVE to take 20 of the compass pilots before they can move on and hire the 10 other applicants?

Mesaba is only limited by the monthly number which is capped at 108 per year. Compass and Mesaba pilots flowing thru to DAL gets class dates and only have to go thru an informal HR meeting to sign papers, but we have to have a college degree and meet physical stds. Almost everyone currently at Mesaba and Compass who have been hired prior to 2008 meets or far exceeds DAL hiring minimums. Compass and Mesaba pilots can also apply outside the flowthru and get hired off the street.
It looks like DAL has revised its hiring number up from 245 to 300 so that's good news but I don't know how many are on the furlough bypass. I believe that number is around 300 but no one knows how many will return this year.
Flowthru is viewed as good by management when times are good because it resets the cost structure of senior airlines such as Mesaba, and also to a certain extent at Compass as well. As an example, almost every pilot below the first 125 pilots at Mesaba said yes to flowthru. This means there will be a lot of senior pilots giving up their $100,000 to $120,000 a year pay at Mesaba for $50/hr start pay at DAL their first year.

Keep in mind that all 400 Compass pilots are not eligible to flow. I think one of the minimums is you have to be at Compass 30 months first. Not sure if it's 25% of the entire list, or 25% of the eligible pilots.

If you fill out an application in Airline Apps, go to "Review My App" in the left menu bar. It will show your times including the conversion. I've been told it comes out to .2 / mil sortie.

The first 100+ that can flow in year 1 meet the requirements. After that, it will not be a problem, because Year 2 flows will have been at CPZ for ~3 years.
