Congrats Delta. It looks like the merger is really working out for you guys. I'm also excited for the UAL/CAL guys who will hopefully be seeing the same effects in the near future.

Things are finally looking up for the major airlines.

Thanks! But "knock on wood". Today the market dropped almost 1000 points. Based on FEAR, and MEDIA. Greece's economic value is less than Chicago and look how the markets reacted to some RIOTS!

Somebody is getting rich off these artificial "swings" in the market!

I wore a blue suit and a yellow tie. I was hired at Western, American, Piedmont and Northwest. My Western class was canceled by Delta and the whole class went to Atlanta for an interview. None were hired. A class action suit followed and was offered a job the next year, but chose to stay at Northwest. Other than the seniority pasting, it was the right decision. I am grateful we merged, hopeful for the future, proud of the significant accomplishments of the combined group and confident the new Delta Pilots will be influential along with the junior Delta Pilots in steering the next contract away from the passive position. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. If you are going to interview in the future, wear a red tie though!

Also based on someone's finger flub, if the reports are correct. Ended the day down 350ish, but how much of that drop was due to fear caused by the bigger drop? On the plus side, its droped oil almost 10 bucks in a few days.

Agreed!! Look how finicky the whole system is It is like a knee jerk reaction. That "finger flub" made the "right" people a lot of money today.

Where there's a buyer there's a seller. Some people lost a lot of money today as well....saw AAPL sold at 200 at one point...I couldn't click fast enough to get it before it popped back to 235. But for the most part the money made was off of 401Ks that went down a few % points today.

Apparently someone was able to buy one of the major financial stocks at 1 cent.... it promptly snapped back to 41 dollars.

I think it was C. Too bad I have been staying out of the market. 10% invested only.

It is due for a correction. Every time it corrects a little I am surprised by how tame it has been.

As far as suits go, I wore a Men's Warehouse suit to SWA and didn't get the job. For the Delta interview I went to Brooks Brothers and bought a new one. It worked. Have you heard about the new fashions honey, you can't dress flashy unless spend a lot of money!
