Default Overall Major Airline Pilot job satisfaction?

Just wondering what everyone's overall job satisfaction level is right now. All considerations count, work rules, pay, retirement, rest, days off etc. Hoping to keep this within the Majors section.

1 = Very satisfied
2 = Somewhat satisfied
3 = Satisfied
4 = Not satisfied
5 = Miserable

I'm on the road roughly 5-15 days a month, the rest of the time I'm sitting at home with my wife and daughter.

Life is good.

Furloughed = Miserable. I'm ready to go back to work.

I've flown 8 trips in the last year and get paid 76 hours per month. Things could be worse.

I wish I could articulate an exit strategy, but they got me locked in the golden handcuffs.

They are not golden, they are just tight enough that moving is uncomfortable.....

I see some regional pilots responded, and they are mostly positive...???

Kind of hard to believe anyone that is not happy with this job. Some people will complain no matter how good they have it. You could make a million dollars a year and have 25 days off and it still wouldn't be good enough. Comical!

I voted twice with my feet (from a major). Once wen't on Mil Leave before they furloughed me. 2nd time I resigned. I am no longer a conscript on that ship of fools. Get Holidays Off (weekends too), Take PTO when I want it. get raises based on MY merit, and OBTW got a 20,000 a year raise both times I quit! Not to mention I no longer work for men with no souls........Other than that I was very satisfied.

Being satisfied with the job and being satisfied with the career are two different things. Taking a 50% pay cut along with pensions and work rules is a very hard pill to swallow. The notion of, "It could be worse," is what has gotten us to where we are today.
