The Republic EXCO does not represent you. His job is to protect dues paying Teamster pilots. When your MEC made the "symbolic gesture" of issuing press releases labeling the RAH pilots as "substandard" my EXCO asked your MEC to retract those statements as an act of good faith and cooperation going forward. Your MEC told him to go pound sand.

I understand, but I have to disagree.
A CEO or Labor leader needs to be Fair and Equitable in all dealings. Any leader that losses sight of this will only build problems in their business or membership.
I can't remember a person (business, politics or labor) being criticized for being fair and equitable.

It would be nice if the RAH EXCO tried to help us get our furloughee pass privileges back. I don't see how this benefit would cost the company a lot of money. If the plane is full, we don't get on.
EXCO could at least send a letter to Lord Dark Helmet.

Bull. Your joke of a leader went on national TV and degraded our entire pilot group. Go back and look it up. It's out there and if you can't find it, let me know and I'll find it for you. 200 hour F/O's??? We didn't have any that I know of. When I was hired, it was at the minimums right around 1000 hours...the pilots hired with fewer than that were few.

Yep, you don't want him to follow through because you have a family to support. What about his family to support. Too bad for him right? Too bad for you also. I am with him 100 percent. So are a bunch of YX pilots in waiting. We would love nothing more than to waste BB's money and your paycheck.

Don't twist someone's words. He doesn't want him or you go to through because of the attitude you'll carry into the business/cockpit. Nothing good ever comes from it. If you guys are so worried about supporting your families then hopefully you'll come to your senses enough to realize that pulling those kind of plays here will only put you back on the street in a very short amount of time. No one wants a black mark on their record when filling out an application. Don't cut off your nose. It's in everyone's best interest to check all feelings at the door and be professionals so that everyone in that aircraft can get from point A to B safely. It becomes a real hazard when CRM takes a dive.
Everyones definition of safety is different. Just because mine may be higher than anyone you have ever met doesn't mean that when I strap in I'm not 100% professional. My flying and training record over 22 years of flying is beyond reproach.

Who said anything about CRM? Just because I won't fly unless I feel 100% and won't fly until I am 100% satisfied with everything has nothing to due with CRM. I'm not a 23 year old anymore so it may take me substantially longer to do those duties. With the number of MEL's I've seen on my last few flights it will take me quite awhile to figure out exactly how they all interact with each other and I'm sure I could justify leaving the APU running. It's an artwork that takes patience and most of all documentation. Camera phones have made that much easier now days.
