The Frontier folks run a good airline and have great crews. Regardless of management the character and professionalism of those there doesn't change. While true that it isn't a Midwest painted plane doing all the flying that doesn't mean the people are receiving any less of a product. I wouldn't discount the RAH group in it's entirety as not providing a great service either. Outside of a small few people each and every pilot I've flown with has been exceptional at doing whatever it takes to get the people where they want to go in a very safe and efficient manner.

I know that it's easy for some to see any change as a bad thing here since it's what we do for a living. However I also see a lot of bashing on topics that really don't make much of a difference. Just like this on BB's statement about MKE. Are people here really trying to say that MKE is a tourist destination? My family and I have traveled my entire life and at no point has anyone said "I want to go to MKE". I think things here are being taken out of context and not focused where they should be. I'm not a BB cheerleader by any means but don't feel he's wrong in what he's said here. I do however feel he's going to severely tank if he doesn't do something to up the quality of our FA's. If there is going to be loss of traffic and lack of brand loyalty it's not going to be because of this article. It's going to be because of the trailer park FA's that don't think twice about providing any kind of customer service. Don't confuse the quality of the FA with the quality of the guy in the cockpit. I've always felt proud of the professionalism most our crews show.
How about the person who buys a ticket on F9 and connects through DEN to MKE. They get a F9 flight, operated by RAH, and to top it off its a 190 painted up as MEH. ***.....

"IF" you got to be kidding. The market share has tanked from its high and will never recover. I have lived here most of my life and the majority of people in the community I know and talk with are not fooled by the charade thats playing out. In fact many are downright fed up with the airline and have stated they will not fly on it.

Bedford is so stupid to poison the well, The bread and butter are the 1+ mil. locals from MKE who booked exclusively on MEH. Until now.

Old byran probably has not driven a WI highway near Lake Geneva, Door County, the Dells, and certainly not the north woods. He might be asking the same question we often do. Why do so many cars have Illinois plates???

You just gotta love this guy.

From Bedfords Blatherings:

"The MBJ could have used this opportunity to do some serious reporting rather than engage in
sensationalist journalism. For example, they could ask how Air Tran pricing can be so low in
Milwaukee and so much higher in Atlanta. It is called cross-subsidization, another industry term.
Simply put, carriers with a profitable area of business raise prices in one market so they can
lower prices in another until they gain a competitive advantage in the new market, at which point
they raise prices and repeat the process elsewhere. This is the modus operandi of Southwest: to
pick on a weaker carrier until they fail. If Air Tran were successful and Midwest were to fail, 1,500
local jobs would be lost and the prices would inevitably go up. What good to the consumer is
really accomplished by this outcome?
"

So in his rationalizing aimed at his subjects he rips the business journal for reporting the gaffe and then whines about Airtrans predatory pricing in the market. I am especially amused by his comment about the loss of 1500 local jobs. CLUELESS................

"What I regret the most is that my comments were used to cause harm to our employees.
Midwest employees have been active members of the Milwaukee community for 25 years.
"

Gee Bryan, I feel real bad for the employees hurt by these asinine statements YOU made. What Midwest employees is he referring to in this statement??? Need I say more.

That's hilarious - cross-subsidization as in using fee-for-departure profits to create a virtual airline? Even more hilarious "If Air-Tran were to succeed and Midwest were to fail" - why in the world would someone in Milwaukee care if Midwest (called a "Virtual Airline" by the charismatic leader himself) fails? All of a sudden he cares about local Milwaukee jobs? Freaking hilarious. This also means that the previous gaffe wasn't a freak accident, this walking ego has nobody that is able to tell him when he is embarrassing himself.

When I am face with a tough problem in my life, I just ask myself:
What would Brian Bedford do?

Quoting out of context is fun and no one outside of this board could care less. For what its worth loads on my last trip averaged around 90%.

I hope SWA (and Air Tran) run RAH out of MKE. I'm even an RAH employee now - well at least for the next two weeks. Just resigned. Refused to be associated with RAH.

Good move, you are smart enough to realize your first class airline is gone and now replaced with a disorganized collection of regional jets with a few animal-tailed airbii having a completely different name sprinkled in. What a joke. Best wishes in your new life, you are fortunate to move along on your own terms.

Yeah, and when you live with Mom and Dad that's a lot of money for hair gel, iTunes, and backpacks. Plus the HS girls I hit on are really impressed that I'm an airline pilot

Indy Air part III (after the Indy Air part II express jet airlines failed) aka Midwest and Frontier will fail under wonderful leadership of BB in due time.
Very much a shame too, yet another 2 places to move up to will be toast.
But its well worth it to fly the ALL MIGHTY E190 at 37hr after 4 years!

Do you really honestly think that BB and Republic have what it takes to effectively compete against the likes of Delta, Southwest, and AirTran? That they will have their regional contracts renewed by majors they're competing against?

Its not very hard to argue that Republic is bringing down "average" for our profession and that their ceased existence would improve things for this career.
