Good one.
I bet being in El Paso with a crew of 3 young, attractive female flight attendants, and a boatload of free and discounted beers is horrible.
Much rather be in Paris with 5-7 women who are older than my mother, paying out the rear for everything, especially beers.
Yup, you got him.

Not to mention that the ELP overnight, is only one of two nights that week you are spending in a hotel bed because the 3 on 4 off schedule at SWA that the majority of line holders get is apparently just so dang horrible.
ELP is also likely to be only one, or maybe two time zones away from your home so the fatigue of early shows or late releases has not been such a killer.
Dang SWA for that horrible, horrible ELP overnight! Oh the oppression! Oh the torture! SWAPA! SWAPA! HELLO????? ANYBODY TAKEN THIS ONE TO MANAGEMENT!!

I would like to state for the record, that I_Love_Lamp does not represent the XJT pilot group in any shape or form, although he is a furloughed pilot here, his actions should not in any way be a reflection of our pilot group.
So to all the SWA guys and girls a big thank you for all the free rides, and please know that most of our guys would never resort to such actions jumpseating, non-reving, or otherwise.

My god, I think some people have been drinking too much SWA Kool-Aid. And as for certain other people, sucking up and appogizing for a pilot group for one persons actions is lame. You won't get a pilot job at an LCC by sucking up.

Today Pete is a crazy burnout.

Well friend, clearly your reading skills are about as good as your attitude. I didn't apologize for anyone, but as someone who jumpseats often; it's important to clarify that the views and actions of a minority of our pilots do not represent that of the majority. Our jumpseat committee had to iron out a few things post this incident because the person in question is on our list, and although he non-rev'ed on said flight, it still had to get addressed. It's called professional courtesy, but I might be preaching to the wall here as you strike me as from the same school as Lamp..."Got entitlement?"

No entitlement here, the snide remarks about SWA were only in reply to the poster who decided to play "internet tough guy" and act like the spokesperson for SWA pilots.
I have nothing but gratefulness towards SWA pilots for the numerous times they've helped me make my commute, and travel for pleasure. In fact, they've all been pleasant to chat with, but when Maverick a few posts back decides that he's going to high horse the **** out of this thread, I took exception. Same too for the people looking down at me for wanting my property back while "murdering my chances to get on at SWA." Fact of the matter is, on a regional pilot salary, losing a bag full of belongings will set you back for months financially.

Bull**** it did. I wasn't traveling in an XJT related capacity, and if you'll read my post for once, you'd see that I wasn't jumpseating.

Whatever your personal dealings are, they are yours only. However, once the story broke out, it was distorted into something that misrepresented the whole pilot group. On a personal note, I hope it was worth your $500 to blow your chance to work at SWA!
