I'd rather watch Fox and BBC than anyone else. There is a reason why Fox beats the socks off the other networks -- combined. It probably has nothing to do with all those made up CNN stories in the 80s and 90s.
CNN hit rocked bottom when it published the Operation Tailwind atrocities in the 80s ... accusing military servicemen of warcrimes. When in fact, it was a made up story, complete with actors for video. Then there was that journalist there during the 90s that made up all sorts of fake stories and nobody fact checked his work.
Sad.
Then there is MSNBC. It is owned outright by GE. That network isn't there to report the news, it is to be the voicebox for a big corporation who is pushing a huge green agenda.
At least Fox is owned by media group.

I agree with most things you say on here except this....
Gotta say though, I was not aware of the incident you mentioned about CNN. Gonna have to look that up.
That said, I think FOX is the most ignorant channel out there. The things they say at times honestly shock me....seriously. If it wasn't for the fact that FOX news is on in every Delta crew room around the country, I would not get my daily dose of it. I just always put it on ESPN since that is pretty neutral. To each their own obviously, FOX news is just not for me. They seem to blame everything on minorities, and me being half black and half asian, I am definitely not cool with most things they say, not only about my people(s) but also about other minority groups.

BUT.
I have never, ever seen them be racist in their reporting.

During my layover at the Roosevelt, I had to watch CNN, MSNBC, and the local NYC news stations for election coverage on Tuesday (no FoxNews at the Hotel). The coverage on CNN and MSNBC began the day by downplaying the predicted results in VA, trumpeting the visits by Obama to NJ (to save Corzine) and lauding the endorsement of the Democrat by the Republican in NY23. At the end of the night, they were saying it was not about Obama, Corzine was going to lose anyway, VA doesn't matter, and it was Sarah Palin's fault that the Republicans lost in NY23! Clearly, the Dems were crushed in VA and NJ, and NY23 was a screwed up situation (which will be taken back by the Reps in the next election). My point is: the slant of CNN and MSNBC is astonishing. Tingle Leg Mathews tried his best to spin the losses, pathetic. AC360 was a lightweight joke.
Just report the news. That is what the people want. That is also why more and more people watch FoxNews.

Really?????I am not overly sensitive about the whole "race" issue....any of my buddies will attest to that...but it seems to me like they are. Maybe I just hear what they say in a different way because of my background, and again, I am not "that guy" to pull the race card...never have been, never will be, just seems to me like they blame a lot of what happens in this country on minorities. Especially O'Reilly and Beck.

Politics aside...I will keep staying away from FOX news as much as I can. Until I go into one of our Delta crew rooms of course. Every crew room in our system always has them on. It is what it is......just not for me.

As for the race thing. I don't agree with you that there is racial bias from Beck or O'Reilly. What examples do you have? Watch the whole show, not just things taken out of context. Read their books and judge for yourself. Don't take the word of others. I watch/read both sides and make up my own mind.

Fox News has really hot, stupid women in short skirts and low necklines. That is why most guys watch it. Don't tell everyone that you like their editorial policies. You just want to watch the babes. Who cares if they are stupid, they aren't hard to look at.

Remember... O'Reilly, Beck and Hannity are opinion/commentary shows. Try to separate them from the news organization. Pew Research (not a conservative group at all) looked at FoxNews and declared that they are THE most balanced News Org. I agree. Just the fact that the Obama Admin has "declared war" on FoxNews should tell you something. They are the only TV organization that is looking into the Democratic Congress and the Obama Admin. It is truly shameful that most of the Press is promoting and defending the Admin instead of investigating it! What happened to Objective Journalism?
