Default Was the ILS working on 27R in ATL?

Just curious if anybody flying that day knows if the ILS may have been out when the Delta crew landed on the parallel...

I don't want to speculate or start a speculation thread. Just want to know if the ILS was working.

It doesn't matter. If he had the Taxiway in sight, he sure as heck had the runway in sight...

Not sure if the ILS was working, but the pilots were not working apparently.

Are we done armchair quarterbacking yet? The report will be out soon...I know it feels like the night before christmas, but be patient.

*They were probably involved in a very heated discussion about company policy....

(*sarcasm and joking, for anyone too sensitive to noticed)

Easy on passing judgement guys.

for most of 07 + 08 I flew the 88 into LGA almost every week. One night doing the Xpressway visual to 31 at dusk it was VERY hard to see the runway. LGA has terrible lighting anyway, but the clouds and dusk environment made it difficult, I was about 200 feet before I "saw" the runway. I knew where the runway was because I was familiar with the airport. Throw in some fatique, and other unusual situations and I got news for all of you "I'M ABOVE THAT" ATTITUDES, Sh!t happens. Just hope it doesn't happen to you.

I don't care what your background is and I don't care how much experience you have, EVERYONE makes mistakes in the cockpit.
