Y' know, I was going to let this sleeping dog lye, but naah, I'm feeling punchy today. For starters, you quoted a source that has been proven buy fact gatherers with many, many more arrows in their quiver than I do, to, well there's no PC way to say this, make stuff up. Most notably, and still in my memory banks, they fabricated quotes from the Website Querty.com that stated several of it's writers, and readers making statements about the sexuality of Jesus. Didn't happen, and you can ACTUALLY research that. Yes, I am a Democrat and I'll tell you openly that I'm more apt to accept news from Fox News than believe ANYTHING that is posted on World Net Daily. So how about YOU prove it factual. It occurs to me that the burden of proof should be on the accuser, not the other way around. And how would you like me to prove a negative? I don't have access to Mr.Moore's financials, nor to I tea with his broker, so I'm at a disadvantage.

It's very easy to make an inflamitory statement, using a suspect source and then ask those you disagree with to prove it false. It's also very Sophomoric. For someone that uses Hunter S Thompson as an avitar and burns the propaganda of the apparatus, I expected a more bullet proof jab. So, yeah, I guess I am a "source shooter". I hope we all are.

Forbes, WSJ, and the like, I checked. Nothing, nada, zip. If you can find it, I'm all ears er, well eyes I suppose. I think Moore's message is less about making a buck, and more about what you do with it. To wit, my hometown of Traverse City. Yes, he lives there too, or well pretty close. Moore has enough money to wipe his you-know-what with $100 bills. However, he has pumped a ton of money into the local arts scene, local schools and the like. Nope, don't say it....NOT redistribution of wealth. Not at all, no one mandated it and no one asked for it, he just did, and does, it. Wouldn't it be nice to work for a company that actually pays you according to your worth? That can actually provide, through your labor, a wage that you can in turn provide for you and yours on? Seems reasonable, and very, very familiar. Isn't that what we're fighting for?

Anything that wakes up America is a good thing. I would have liked to see a different title for the film but if it starts to open the eyes of our citizens of this great nation about what has been happening and will again happen in the financial industry that is a wonderful thing. As one pointed out he talked about big banks and politicians(I haven't seen it yet) about 20-30% of the time regarding the mess "they" put us in. This is IMO the most important message of the movie and I am glad he has the balls to do it.

I see a common theme to this thread and others when this comes up and that is to blame the Democrats or blame the Republicans, right vs left or Socialism vs Capitalism. That watching this movie is akin to the other side watching Fox, etc. We all need to come together on this one and throw the corrupted players out! Both parties are in on this game.

No I'll come back. But I'm tired - I just watched a fabulous 2 hour documentary about economics. As much as it interests me, it tires me, so I'm going to head to bed, dream about ***Obongo*** being the boil on the arse of humanity that he is, and come back in the morning to tell you about Michael Moore and about how much of a deplorable (yes I said it again) American he is.

Obongo? May I ask why you call the President of the United States "Obongo"? What is that a referecnce to? Funny, you're offended by someone who "says the things he says about the USA and the President of the USA" and in the VERY NEXT paragraph, call the Pres "a boil on the arse of humanity", and "Obongo". Or is it ok to do so long as it's not your guy? So, where does the hate come from? What has been done to you that you hate this guy so much? haha I almost edited my post and put something in there about that, but I thought you guys would get it. Michael accused President Bush about a lot of stuff. He tried to throw him under the bus, ruin his reputation, and turn an entire world against the man - even after all that he had done for us.

Calling President Bush (or in my case Obama) an idiot, a loser, or even a huge "pustulating" zit is a bit different in my book than the things Michael Moore was saying. Those are all character insults. The lies Mr. Moore was bloviating about were designed to pull a country apart and bring Bush down.

No I can't stand Obama. I cringe every morning when I turn on the TV and I see the headlines "P.... Obama does blah blah blah." How can this have happened? How can he be our president? I make it known I don't like the man. However at the end of the day, I try to respect the office of the president. Sometimes I fail, and I think my statements above were borderline, but again they are all character attacks. I don't go around screaming the other things I believe that are meant to bring him down. He's our leader, it is what it is.
