Guys, what you are failing to realize is that it's the message that's being sent....not the messenger.....we should be focusing on. The movie exposes the greed and corruption in our society's economy. But continue to discredit the film (although I'm sure many of you naysayers haven't even seen the movie....so you have little idea what you're arguing about), after all, it exposes many problems we face in our industry.

We are LABOR. Not white collar....so it's time to rally around the LABOR movement. Let go of your right-wing country club ideals....you're only playing pretend there. For nearly the past decade, we've had a very anti-labor government and it shows.....just look at your pay stub or pension.
Are you saying that if we were white collar workers that we shouldn't rally around labor?

Watching MM films and watching Fox News are the same but opposite. One slants waaaay left, the other waaay right. Both are full of shizit. From birth certificates to jail time for no health insurance, people lap it up as gospel. Still, MM's point of airline pilot pay has validity. The fact that airlines have successfully replaced about half of domestic flying with low wage "regional" jobs is sad. In this environment, many regional f/o's are stuck making Walmart wages.

It doesn't really matter until we can get out form under the RLA. Until then, we can rant and fuss until the proverbial cows come home but we'll be nothing more than a mild irritation to the Airlines or the flying public.

Because of the RLA negotiations take way longer than they have to because one side has been disarmed. How long was LUV in negotiations?

It all depends on the NMB, who are appointed by the POTUS. I agree, the last eight years have been He11. Lets hope the new members of the NMB are a little more accommodating.

We are not going to get out of the RLA with pro big-business politicians in office.

No, not at all.....it would be nice to see a change of pace from the executive side of businesses. Share the wealth, and all.

I don't have time to find the actual figures....but this is in the ballpark range anyhow. In the past half century or so, top executive pay has soared to approximately 400% greater than the average employee. Whereas prior it had only been around 50% greater. Hmmm, looks like the white collar types are showing the love to the worker that's actually producing all the money.

Exactly....as long as we continue to support the politicians who support big-business, there will never be a shift back to the working man. Instead, the rich will continue to get richer and the poor, poorer.
