I detect a large amount of sarcasm in this post.

I fear we're actually rewarding the behavior. Joe obviously gets a rise from this stuff. Every time we "bite", we inflate his ego.
The statement you're all quoting speaks for itself, and gives you all the insight into the author and his "thought" process that you would ever need.

being out of the loop at ASA now, what are the two companies doing to rectify the abortion that is the ATL ramp? All I ever saw time to time was a BH comment that "ASA is working with Delta to resolve ramp issues," yet it seems like things never change. As easy as it is to finger point, it would be much more productive for both companies to work together and fix it so customers don't walk across the street to AirTran. As the old saying goes, if you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

To each his own. I don't think that any company can be everything to everybody. I'm really happy with my pay, my schedule, and my quality of life. Next year I expect to pull down $175,000 as an FO while working maybe 14 days per month (not on weekends, I can assure you.) I am happy, and I hope that y'all are happy with your own jobs.
Got lots of buddies at Delta, and overall I am wishing them the best because they are going to go after a superior wage scale very quickly when the company does well, and that would help our profession. Good luck!
