Southwest targets Europe, South America with

LB,
A sense of humor is allowed when it isn't coming from an obvious SWA hater who probably blames the LUV machine for all of their career problems. Or at the very least for their problem with being bitter. Please reference any posts you have made with positive (and I mean truly postive) remarks about SWA and I will take back the "SWA hater" remark. Besides that ...................Oh never mind!

Glad to see this whole SWA in Int'l operations was a giant HO-AXE. You guys with your iffy maintenance may want to stay over dry land till you get all that stuff sorted out.....if ever.

Not a swa pilot but I think all airlines have been guilty of screwing up some mx procedures every now and then...
To get back to the topic... I think that just as the major airlines have created worldwide aliances (Star, Sky Team, etc), LC carriers will probably do the same... You'll see SWA, Ryanair, AirAsia, Tiger Airways, etc., etc. form their own aliances... They'll attempt to "share" flight between each others' markets.
Just my inflation penny on the subject..,

Has anyone considered the replacement for the current 737? It would be more efficient, probably a little wider, I'm sure SWA will have a lot of input about the AC design. I'm sure the new "737" will make it to Europe from the East Coast just fine! I hope it happens, always treated well by SWA!

Frankly I don't care if we ever do international ops but continually calling our MX iffy and saying that we are too kozy with the FAA is just another way to defer the subject away from your unhappiness. Also you seem to be implying that SWA is the only airline to ever have some difficulties with bookkeeping errors or chosen a contractor that maybe we should not have. I am sure your airline's history is spotless in these areas as well.
Have a nice day!

Hey Lamborn - who do you work for again?
Looks like United to me...I don't know why you didn't just come out and say it.
Good news is that if you have some time, you may have enough career left to work at SWA. At SWA, you'll make 20% more as a 737 captain than you do now as a 767 captain. More importantly, if you have enough career left, you'll have the opportunity to make up for the millions from a lost pension fund (if you happen to have that problem.) Just being friendly and professional.
Funny, anyone can say they're anything on this board - I'm changing my title to 747 captain.
