F9, WN, and RAH-Everyone got what they wanted

Sort of ironic...some pilot groups have gotten used to pushing others around. Kudo's to the F9 pilots for holding the line and doing what's right....

So again, can you provide any examples to back up your claim?

Yup. SWAPA has been kicking other pilot groups to the curb for years.
By the way, from what I've read from various sources here, it seems that Frontier and Republic are going to be operated as separate entities. Previously, Republic pilots had stated that their contract required the groups to be integrated. I haven't heard any statements from Republic's union. What does the Republic contract really say?

Still trying to stir the pot? Why the concern with what transpires for Frontier from this point on?
Best wishes to all at Southwest.

There were a lot of big statements from both Republic and Frontier pilots on those Southwest threads on what exactly was fair and equitable, and what was going to occur when Frontier was bought by Republic. Now, all of a sudden, it's as quiet as a first date fart out there. Just wonderin' what's up, I haven't seen anything from either union.
You seem to be saying "Nothing to see here, move along." I don't think that's gonna carry much weight on a public info board.
Larry the Lynx, Foxy the Fox, Jack the Rabbit, Flip the Dolphin, Grizwald the Bear - what is that you're hiding behind your back? GASP>>>>>> IS THAT A SWINGLINE?

I've read the article and it talks about fences around the F9 flying. Does this then set them up the same way the Midwest guys were? (Accept pay cuts or your airplanes vanish) Or does it prevent this?
I'm just asking, I hope they are protected from that sort of treatment, they deserve better than that. I honestly want it to work out for them, but I can't help but think they will be treated the same way Midwest guys were/are.

He's not trying to stir the pot, he is asking a question about a position that so many of the Republic guys took through the last few weeks as to why it was better for them to get F9.

I will venture the other direction. I believe that you guys will be swimming a little longer than you think. My MCO SWA friends have all had their line values cut to the equivalent of 65 hours per month with no open time for them to grab just so they don't furlough anyone. So, bring your floaties to the Kool-Aid pool party and get ready to serve up some drinks.

Isn't that ALWAYS the case with mergers, acquisitions, or really anything in this industry. This is just another perfect example of the senior guys selling out the junior guys. If I were a young F9 pilot, I would be really upset about this.

You are absolutely correct! I am speculating and the SWA is speculating saying there would be no furloughs. An agreement was never reached so we will never know.
And, who is to say that even if FAPA voted for SWA that the rest of the voters would have? This wasn't entirely up to the pilot group.
What people are forgetting is Frontier could just as easily be liquidating in FOUR months without RAH. So I would rather have 3 more years than 4 months. I'm not naive to think everything is going to be wonderful. There will be changes that we won't like and they may even suck. But first and foremost my husband will be able to support our family for a little while longer.
