Default Nice Job Alaska Airlines!

Alaska took delivery of a new 737-800 and gave the first flight to graduating Aviation High School kids, some of whom have never flown before in their young lives. Take a look at the photo gallery, at the kid in the third pic. Hmmm.

Alaska Airlines gets keys to new plane, gives students a ride

PR Circus or not....regardless, a pretty cool experience for some kids who probably would not have had the opportunity to do so otherwise.

As far as the individual (who appears to be challenged) that you took the time to point out....I guess not everyone is as "Cool" as you.

As a "MODERATOR" on this website, you pointing that out is pretty weak to say the least.

In the end, props to Alaska Airlines.

Not picking any sides here but in the third pick If you are talking about the two kids to the right they do not look "challenged" as you put it.

If I were to guess I would say that she was pointing out their awestruck yet slightly awkward high school gaze.

I think that jumping to the conclusion that A. One of the kids was mentally challenged and B. She was making a joke at their expense is a bit over the top.

Kudos to Alaska.

If I was one of those kids, I'd probably look ridiculous, I'd be so happy, grinning, eyes wide open! haha

Good job Alaska.

That kid is not retarded! He looks completely normal...like an awestruck high schooler. What are you talking about??? I cannot believe you think he is retarded. He should be offended by you!

If things go well I might be showing her my O-face. "Oh... Oh... Oh!" You know what I'm talkin' about. "Oh!"

To me, the kid looks like he's thinking "This is so boring...get me out of here!!"

Retarted or not...funny pic! If I was retarted I would hope people would have fun at my expense! I would even have a dance video on youtube. I think I made that same face when I first saw a jet up close too!

I thought you meant the 'stache. Every shot with more than 2 individuals in it, at least one has facial hair. Seriously, it looks like a meeting of future ALPA Presidents!
