2. Despite what most think about vagabond, jumping to the conclusion that she is making fun of that kid, is kinda messed up. As a moderator she knows the rules, and i kinda think thats a cheap shot against her. I have had a run in or two with her, and have opionions. But i dont think she was trying to imply anything, i'd like to think mod's have more class than that.

My Mom used to tell me I was "special" when I asked her why all the other kids got to ride on the "big" bus and I didn't.

Actually, the kid reminds me of me the first time I saw an airplane up close. Totally in awe.

Slightly out of place in this thread seeing how it has NOT been moderated at all.


On a side note, knowing the founders of this site and having been on board as a moderator for quite some time most of the current users on this site would rather see 1/4 of the traffic and not deal with some of the ridiculous things that need to get moderated than to see 4 times the traffic and sift through flight info esque postings.

If we cared only about traffic, this place would be like flightinfo. The goal of the mods is to enforce a few simple rules that attempt to make an anonymous message board as professional as possible. The admins that wrote the rules were trying to insure that this place didn't become like flightinfo. It's not about "traffic".

But, if you want unlimited free speach at any cost, feel free to find the site that best suits your needs. This might not be the place....

Funny how you were the only one making that connection, I took the same way as when my friends laughed at my yearbook photo. 90% of the photos I take stink, it's a shame that a pro photographer uploaded the culls.

Thank you and you're absolutely right Vagabond has more class than that! There is obviously more read into the word "hmmm" in the 2nd post. It's a bad photo, I think we all caught that.

As mentioned with the quality vs. quantity argument above, the forum is here to provide a productive resource to pilots. I can accept your criticism, but I'll point out that the forum rules are at the top of every section (in addition to each user agreeing to abide by those rules when they registered).

When a thread is moderated, it's because of a problem with the published Terms of Service. I'd add that forum moderators are extremely accurate in moderating posts/threads in accordance with the published TOS.

Kudos to Alaksa Airlines for providing an opportunity to kids, and Kudos to the APC forum moderators who do a thankless and tireless job of keeping APC a productive venue.

If this site did not have mods I would never log on. EVER. That is the excat reason I don't even log onto my own companies pilot board. This place has class but has lost a little in the past few months with some of you new guys who add nothing but sarcasm and drama.

That kid in the 3rd pic appears to be squeezing out the left-cheek-sneak he'd been holding since midway through the bus ride to the airport. Capt. Coat-n-Tie behind him has noticed and is evaluating a quick escape route. Green-n-White hasn't picked up on the sound yet - he's enjoying the close-up view of the 737-800's engine.
