Its a good place to work though there are obviously some growing pains which would be expected at this point. Reserve schedules are bad but growth has been steady so there's not been much griping about it. That will change if growth slows for more than a few months. Hiring has stopped for the moment...should start again in the Fall/Winter time frame.
Pay is not industry leading for sure, but its good for a carrier in business for less than 2 years and non-organized and much better than Allegiant...the only other airline hiring...unless you were in the pool at Jet Blue and want to fly an RJ. I have been treated very well from day one and enjoy the company...but that's just me. The company appears to meet all ownership standards despite a lot of noise made by certain parties. The DOT continues to be satisfied to date. Branson has no intention of "pulling the plug" as some have said. Like him or not, he is good at fighting these types of battles and needs to be in the US market to have a "Global Network".
Now I'm sure plenty here will have all sorts of clever comments and insults but that is the where things seem to be at this point. I spent 13 years at an ALPA carrier and was furloughed from the left seat of my 717 to the street. During my career at three ALPA carriers I have served two terms on an MEC, been scheduling chairman, grievance chairman, have walked a picket line ect. Please don't bore me with sophmoric comments about Kool-Aid and ruining the profession. Right now I am happy to have a job flying good equipment in a very friendly work environment. Do I miss my 150K per year income? ....you bet, but "it is what it is" as they say.
Have a good week.

Like the pilot unions in the US have done anything for their pilots lately.
How can it be right to upgrade someone based on seniority instead of knowledge and skill?
Bring in the non-unionized sane airline companies and lets make it a business again. It really couldn't be any worse.
How can it be right, that if I join a company to work I get forced to join something I don't want to join?

No one is forced to join. It's completly optional.
