CAL jet hits turbulence, pax/crew injured

There should be a fine attached to getting up when the seat belt sign is on without permission. Airlines would make a lot of money but pilots would have to turn it off whenever they could otherwise someone will **** or crap on themselves and sue for humiliation or not being allowed to use the bathroom when needed.
Another thing could have an automatic lock attached to the seat belt sign. Anytime the sign is on, the lav doors are locked.

Second idea - maybe they should install those locking mechanisms like they have on the roller coasters. They just come down right over the shoulders and lap and lock you in
...or maybe FAs should get tasers and blowguns!

I have flown with Captains that will leave the seat belt sign illuminated the entire flight, even when all reports are of smooth air.
When queried, they respond if they leave it on at all times then they would not be liable.

When I upgrade to captain, at 10,000 feet, if it's smooth I will turn the seatbelt sign off, and then turn it on/off as conditions warrant.
Air Canada Jazz does it right. They get that sucker off at like 5,000 feet. haha!
